Man Says He Was Savagely Beaten for Wearing a MAGA Hat; May Have Permanent Eye Damage

Snopes will be accusing the Babylon Bee of deliberately misleading people in five seconds:

The man claiming to have been beaten was obviously beaten, but we don't have anything beyond his word to prove who did it or why.

I believe him -- this happens so often there's not much reason to doubt it -- but it is possible that this is one of the very few hoaxes from right-leaning people.

Jahangir Turan, 42, told CBS New York he was walking on Canal Street near Greene Street shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday while wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat when he was roughed up by more than a dozen teens, who cursed at him as they confronted him.

The kids shouted "F--k Trump" during the attack, according to Fox 5 NY.

Turan, who bought the hat earlier that day, said he suffered a broken cheekbone and a black eye.

"I love President Trump. I think he's doing a great job," the alleged victim told Fox. "It's sad to get beat up for wearing this hat. This is America."

Tim Pool points out that the media is all panicked that some Trump supporters made the throat-slit gesture to the media at the Ohio rally, and yet doesn't seem interested in an actual beating.

Are they just waiting for proof? Well, they never wait for proof when the left alleges a hoax hate crime.

And something tells me they won't revisit this story when proof is in hand.
