The Morning Report - 4/16/19

Good morning kids. Tuesday and topping the headlines is yesterday's tragedy and hopefully miracle in the wake of the fire that consumed the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. From what I have gathered, despite the loss if the iconic spire, the roof and the stained glass windows, all of the priceless artworks, artifacts, and religious relics and reliquaries have been saved. The inquest into what caused the fire as well as the more significant questions of the apparent lack of firefighting equipment, the response of the Paris Fire Department and for me, considering that besides being a museum that houses priceless artwork Notre Dame is itself a priceless world icon, the lack of any modern internal fire suppression systems.

No doubt, emergency work is now taking place to shore up the structure and prevent its collapse, and it will be restored to its former glory (and not with a design by Daniel Liebeskind), hopefully with the aforementioned fire safety systems. On a personal note, the fire has struck a few chords with me, not least of which just the sheer horror of seeing something perceived as timeless and indestructible engulfed in flames. When one considers the assaults on Christianity and Western Civilization from without and within vis a vis a turning away from G-d that perhaps began at the end of the First World War replaced by atheistic Socialism and the ever quickening pace of the consumption of Europe by Islam, the picture of Notre Dame engulfed in flames is that much more disturbing. And all of the aforementioned is equally significant on this side of the Atlantic, given the words, deeds and actions of the American Left and their Mohammedan allies (for now). Especially in light of the "Bro-Fo" Omar's recent words regarding the 9/11/01 terror attacks committed in the name of, and as directed by, her religion, the reaction and then the counter-reaction to that.

To sum it up, that Notre Dame still stands and its priceless contents preserved is for sure a miracle. Symbolically, it can be viewed either as a harbinger or a wake up call. And the situation is still very much in doubt.

Moving on to the temporarily sidelined major stories, the redacted Mueller report is set to drop on Thursday, and the geschrei from the Democrat-Left-Media Complex persists. It's a coverup, Barr is in cahoots with Trump and Mueller not saying anything about obstruction proves Trump's guilty. Of what, no one knows, nor does it matter, of course. What matters is now that a majority of Americans can see that the past two years were nothing more than a witch hunt and persecution of an innocent man and his allies, the Left will do whatever it can to prevent the public from understanding that all of it was engineered by Clinton, Obama and their allies in the national law enforcement and intelligence communities (aided and abetted by our so-called allies abroad) who nakedly abused their power to sabotage the Trump campaign and to overthrow his presidency. Period. Full stop.

Leading the analysis is Mollie Hemingway, who has been a stalwart on this, with what to expect from the report's release as well as what is the road ahead vis a vis thoroughly exposing the plot and punishing the plotters.

Over at the border, the freakout and exposure of the Left as complete hypocrites vis a vis Sanctuary City policies continues. As an aside, see the link about how Trump is totally owning the messaging and putting the Dem-Left's feet to the fire on their hypocrisy both with this and with Democrat Anti-Semitism. Lastly, Lindsey Graham is set to introduce legislation to deal with this. Frankly, the only thing we need to do is seal our borders, put a moratorium on all immigration for a period of years (ideally 20 or more) punish violators here and ramp up repatriation of those already in-country, regardless of how long they have been here. And Lindsey wasn't called "Graham-nesty" for nothing. I do not trust him, Kavanaugh or not.

Democrat Scandal Sheet: Sure as G-d made little green apples, Chiquita Khruschev AOC along with farschimmelt old fool Bernardo Sandersnista are rushing to the defense of unreconstructed, pig-ignorant medieval throwback "Bro-Fo" Omar. How do they do it? Why attack Israel of course. The former wants aid to Israel cut because the Israelis elected Bibi, and the latter claims the Bro-Fo is merely criticizing the rightward lurch of the government. Yeah, go with that. Civil War 2.0: Lest we forget as Trump continues to win big, the Left becomes more unhinged and violent. First, a conservative woman recounts being stalked by Leftist goon after an event, Antifa terrorists threaten a Candace Owens event at Penn, a citizen from Togo wearing a MAGA hat is attacked in Maryland, and an Obama hack-in-black adds fuel to the fire.

Politics: In the wake of yesterday's report of the President's huge re-election donation haul, I see that he has taken in more than the top two or three Dem candidates combined. Palsi Pelosi fumbles even a softball interview on 60 Minutes, Chiquita Khruschev is cutting back on social media (no doubt to spend more time with her family, right?) which is like Imelda Marcos cutting back on shoes, Gorka is high on Candace Owens, three links about Bernie Sanders lying and being contradictory on the Medicare for All scam, going apeshit when confronted about his millionaire hypocrisy and he Center for American Progress throwing another anti-American front group under the bus for criticizing the alta-cocker. Also, Pete Buttplug is a lightweight, My Pillow CEO loves Trump and a warning about the Dems in 2020 (not sure I agree with the concept).

First Amendment: Big Tech still silent about the SPLC scandal, WaPo fact checker is a fraud, and a look at the Assange arrest.

Guns: Kamala-Toe sez 2A for me but not for thee.

Abortion: Black Ohio lawmaker wants black babies dead and the Left's overreach with infanticide.

Foreign Desk: Notre Dame fire and aftermath plus Mike Pompeo is going against Iranian hardliners in the Senate. What's up with that?! Meanwhile PDT sends in the Navy as a show of force to the Chi-Coms in the disputed Spratly Islands. And he didn't send in the USS Harvey Milk or a Kristol Kruiser either.

We-All-Slam-For-I-Slam: 6 years after the Boston Marathon bombing and the perp's concubine is free as a bird, Norway persecuting journalist who tells truth on Islam terrorism, Bro-Fo and Chiquita Khruschev are not 9/11 victims, and Daniel Greenfield on what the treatment of a lion in a zoo in Gaza says about who they really are.

The Economy: Trump's tax cut is a winner for many Americans and the Dem-Left-Media complex is desperate to lie about it ahead of 2020, and Vodkapundit Steven Green sez abolish the IRS and go for a flat tax.
