Jake Clapper: I Don't Know A Single Thing That Anyone in the Media Got Wrong in the Russia Hoax

What a stupid dishonest cuck, parroting every corporate propaganda claim Jeff Zucker whispers in his ear.

CNN State of the Union host Jake Tapper poses as a Just the Facts Man, but his command of the facts vanished on Sunday. When Trump's chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said the " media got it wrong for so long" speculating on collusion in the Mueller investigation, Tapper offered the spit take that "I'm not sure what you're saying the media got wrong....Other than the people in the media on the left, not on this network, I don't know anybody who got anything wrong."

I think he's trying to throw Rachel Maddow under the bus with that "other than people in the media on the left" line. (What, Jake? CNN isn't on the left? Are you joking?)

Glenn Greenwald, Jimmy Dore, Michael Tracy and other leftwing Russia skeptics have predicted this move from the media, that they would claim that it was all Rachel Maddow's doing.

Blaming it all on a lesbian woman? How problematic. Why the cis white het privilege, Jake!

While Rachel Maddow was the worst, all of these people were doing the the same thing -- and they shouldn't be permitted to claim one single media figure is the scapegoat they'll sacrifice to absolve the tribe.

And note, he won't even name her in his scapegoating effort.

Let's recall Washington Post media blogger Erik Wemple noting Tapper and three others wrongly predicted what former FBI director James Comey would tell Congress that he didn't reassure Trump he wasn't under investigation. "CNN assigned four reporters to inaccurately predict testimony that was coming in a matter of hours." Wemple called that "stupid news."

By the way, Maddow is still just making things up, and just like the supposed Fake News Exposers at CNN refused to call her out for the last two years, they will continue refusing to call her out.

Fake news and conspiracy theories aren't bad as long as they animated the Democrat base.
