If you haven't seen it -- I only saw it this weekend -- Joe Biden's "White man's culture" speech is pretty disgusting and also just made-up bullshit.

As Sargon of Akkad points out, it was never part of the English common law tradition that you could beat a woman with a stick as long as it was no thicker than your thumb.

That's just fiction.
