Ahoy! Bill Kristol's Cvcks-Seeking-Bulls Newsletter Now Just Attacking Conservatives With The Left's Favorite Smear -- "Racist"
Bill Kristol Completes His Transition to David Brock
Now Officially Racist, according to the misogynistic, antisemitism-excusing relentless troll (almost as if he's getting paid for it!) "UrbanAchievr": Jesse Kelly, Victor Davis Hanson, and Kurt Schlichter.
All for committing the Thoughtcrime of wondering whether or not this nation can -- or even should -- hold together as a single "united" states of America, or amicably split.
That's racist now. See, the Civil War was about slavery so any new thinking about whether America is united or devolving into a low-level cool civil war is also racist, Because Things Remind Dum-Dums of Other Things.
Like, for example, Kurt's speculative fiction about a future civil war in America is just like the Turner Diaries, Because Things Remind Dum-Dums of Other Things.
But the real slime is directed at the guy they really hate and fear: Kurt Schlichter. Because Kurt knows what they are and isn't afraid to call them out in public on it and they know he’s right.
What do they use for the evidence that Kurt is influenced by the alt-right? Kurt has written a series of dystopian action/thriller novels chronicling a civil war between an oppressive government collapsing beneath the weight of its own contradictions and a popular insurrection to restore freedom. And they claim that those books are exactly like the Turner Diaries, a book that served as Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh's inspiration...
This Bulwark post isn't serious, it is spank material for self-described true conservatives who never seem to have the time to worry about what the left is doing but a surfeit if time to tell the rest of us when it is appropriate to wear MAGA hats and what we must believe in order to be true conservatives.
HBO's series based on the Philip K. Dick book The Man in the High Castle also postulates a future dystopian America divided into sections and plagued by internal civil war.
Is that also alt-right? Or "racist"?
The future dystopia story is one of the absolute hottest premises in current fiction, and, I don't want to SPOIL anything here, but they all feature a divided, often tyrannical US which is created to stand-in for whatever particular political evil the author wishes to highlight.
All alt-right? All "racist"?
Literally hundreds of leftists have written books featuring a divided US, turned into a hellhole by conservative tyrants. Now one guy writes a book with the same basic notion in play, except the hellscape was created by a tyrannical leftist government.
The mysogynistic, antisemitism-excusing UrbanAchievr concludes: This one book is racist and just like the Turner Diaries.
This fellow-traveler is just incorporating his fellow leftist's Iron Rule: It's different when we do it; conservatives are to be treated completely differently with malign assumptions and evidence-free accusations, because, fundamentally, They Are Not Human.
Bill Kristol was so proud of today's trolling that he rushed to promote it as Conserving Conservatism on his preferred medium of Twitter (does he actually write anything real any more? Apart from requests for money from his leftwing backers?), and of course Jonathan Last's wife rushed out to second him.
I mentioned this last week, I think, but it's worth again noting that The Bulwark is now running articles telling us we shouldn't be worried about socialism:
Now that's what I call Conserving Conservatism.
BTW, Kurt Schlichter is an Army Colonel who actually volunteered to fight the wars the neocon chickenhawks jerk themselves off about.
Also, he's filling in on the Hugh Hewitt show next week. You know, Hugh Hewitt, noted racist insurrectionist. This might be why they chose to run this Pierre Omidyar/David Brock hit now, to pressure Hewitt to cancel or to set Hewitt up for their next round of "making people uncomfortable at dinner parties."
Remember, their stated mission now is just to "taint" people and smear them for not joining them in supporting Democrats.
