As I like to point out: Whenever Mexican or other countries' territory was incorporated into the US, all persons living on that land were made US citizens automatically. The law said so. When the US annexed New Mexico, all those who had formerly been Mexican citizens in New Mexico immediately also became US citizens.

It is not true that anyone was dispossessed of US citizenship who had been here.

That's why she speaks of "cultures" having been here, not people. Because all the actual people who were in the US at the time of incorporation did become US citizens. She wants to say that anyone who is racially Hispanic, even if they have never had a single point of contact with the US in not only their own history but their entire family's history, is owed US citizenship on purely racial grounds.

This is sometimes (wrongly) called "La Reconquesta." That's wrong, because there's no "Re" here. The people who are attempting the Reconquesta never conquesta'ed the US before, and in fact never lived here nor had any legal claim to live here, before.

You can't re-do something you've never before done.

There is no Right to Return to a place ya never been.

They're arguing for a new right to conquest -- based exclusively on (ta-da!) a claimed right-by-race.

She's not arguing for an individual's right to citizenship -- say, if that individual's family had been unlawfully removed from the US, or if that individual was improperly denied a visa or improperly denied citizenship after completely all legally required steps.

No, she's arguing that some people have a purely Racial Right to US citizenship -- their Race gives them superior rights to all others.

Well then. If AOC wants to promote the idea of US citizenship based purely on racial identity, should we ask other racial interests groups if they would like to make their own proposals for purely race-based citizenship?

Why do only Hispanics get to play this game of La Raza? The media tells me everyday that the US is teeming with White Nationalists who want to form an ethnostate. Why does AOC have a better claim in forming one than they do? Once the principle of Racial Right of Sovereignty is established and accepted, then it's just a matter of arguing about which race gets the spoils.

Here's my modest proposal: Trump and Congressional Republicans should pass an law that allows -- or even requires -- a state to act as the Laboratory for testing AOC's ideas. I nominate the state of New York, because it's very liberal, claims to be very, very concerned with the environment, and it foisted this borderline-retard on us.

New York, then, will be required to do all the things that AOC demands of it -- we can suspend the ordinary constitutional protections against state coercion for these purposes; I mean, this is such an important cause, should a very old piece of paper written by dead white men stand in the way of progress? -- and we allow (or require) New York to ban cars, airplane travel, and cows (and all other ruminant sources of meat).

Hell, let's just do what she so clearly wants us to do and declare her Political Messiah.

Then we build some big beautiful walls around New York, Snake Plissken style, and we check back in ten fucking years and ask whatever survivors are still remaining what they think of Breakfast Club Evita.

Well, combine that with declaring flatly that anyone with a single drop of Hispanic blood has a racial right to citizenship, and... Wow.
