The only one missing from the reunion of the World's Saddest Band is Senorita Steve Hayes. I guess he's still dreaming of getting hired by The Atlantic.

Ah well. He'll be workin' for Pierre Omidyar in short order.

I've asked before if Jim Swift was involved in Bill Kristol's Non-Weekly-Standard political operations. And if such operations included attempting to scalp-hunt Salena Zito-- a colleague at the Weekly Standard's sister publication Washington Examiner --along with some anonymous Twitter accounts.

The fact that Jim Swift, who is utterly talentless, is still clutching remora-like to BIll Kristol's belly despite having no clear skill set makes me ask the question again.

I have to point out: NO ONE IN THE WORLD would think they could attempt to destroy a COLLEAGUE at a sister publication UNLESS they had special reason to think a boss approved of this, or would protect them from the inevitable blowback.

He didn't even do this on the sly. He did it right out in the open, joining a Pressure Firing Mob against Salena Zito.

Why did Jim Swift think this was permissible? No one would imagine this sort of thing was permissible. But he did. And it turned out: He was very right. He not only didn't get canned at the Weekly Standard (at least not until the whole operation was shut down), but he goes on to continue sucking on Bill Kristol's monster titties.

He's never answered me.

I can only imagine he must have been doing something to make Kristol to name him First Toady. Apparently Cap'n Bill didn't mind his attempt to take out Salena Zito.

And oh, what a shock: Oliver Darcy, who received all kinds of leaks from Weekly Standard insiders, is again the leak spigot of choice for Weekly Standard personnel.

How unexpected. So out of character for this crew.

What a coincidence, that they keep going to a partisan leftwing outfit and never, say, a right-leaning (barely) one like National Review.

I hear the first issue will consist of 15 articles, all by Jeryl Bier, about how Trump's character is not quite up to Harvard Snuff.

Those never get old. They're the go-to article you write when you want to attack Trump but are too cowardly to admit your main beef with him is on substance, because you support the de facto open borders regime the liberal and corporate establishments agreed to without the approval of the public.

By the way: When the Weekly Standard was losing money and was told in no uncertain terms by the OWNER that he wanted the magazine to start earning its keep, Hayes fired the guy the OWNER wanted on the Standard (Larry O'Connor) to start bringing in traffic and decided to pay Milwaukee conservative-shockjock-turned-NeverTrump-shockjock Charlie "3-Wives" Sykes to come on to the magazine. And I bet he was not cheap.

How many subscriptions did Charlie Sykes sell, guys? A bet bunches. I'll just bet the national demand for written essays from the Milwaukee Moralizin' Madman (who has had three wives, by the way) was just enormous.

I'm sure it wasn't just some tribalist urge to give a fellow tribe member a job to protect him from market forces.

By the way, here's a math problem: If each of Charlie Sykes' three wives had a cruise boat, how many cruise boats would they have?
