Ace of Spades Pet Thread
Good afternoon and welcome to the almost world famous Ace of Spades Pet Thread. Grab a beverage and some comfy food and relax. Enjoy the world of animals.

A Little of This. A Little of That.
How anyone could do this to an animal is beyond me. But, there is a very happy ending. h/t tankdemon
Conservative Pets, awesome. h/t hrothgar
As we approach Halloween, let's keep your dogs safe!!
I don't think the little spooks will make it down our driveway, water is pretty high at the moment.

Hey tourists, leave the darn dolphins alone. You're interfering with their sex lives. h/t ibguy

And this is one reason you put a dog into kennel. I'm a firm believer in crates for dogs.

Why is your cat sneezing? Is it normal or something to be concerned about?

Meet The PetMorons
Mia enjoying the coolness of the house on a hot summer day. She felt it was her sacred duty to be outside watching the horses unless it was so hot nothing would be moving around or a wet snow had her chilled, but when she came in she really enjoyed complete relaxation.
Cute pic of mini filly from my mom's foray into breeding mini's for property tax break, she decided breeding was too stressful and dad was old enough to get a break on property taxes after this lovely spotted filly was born so traded the mare and filly back to the stud owner for a two year old colt. We have 3 mini geldings now that do nothing but eat and occasionally look cute.
Palerider.
So the pet store really likes to see you drive in don't they? Thanks for sharing!!

Conor and I had a chance to just relax on my pier and I got this picture of him which I really like. - hrothgar
What a beautiful shot. Appreciate you submitting the photo. Glad that Conor isn't attempting to go swimming. He doesn't seem like a good one.

That Deplorable SOB Van Owen here.
Back in May, my daughter and her family were driving through the Utah desert. I'll let her tell what happened:
"Call us suckers, call us glutton for punishment... but when you’re driving through the desert and a nice old Navajo man has a box that says “free puppies”, you stop and if you’re us you take this sweet little girl home! Everyone meet Zuma.. named after Montezuma Creek where we got her (and the lab on paw patrol )!"
The first picture was taken the day Zuma came home with the family. The last was taken a couple of days ago - grandson falling asleep on a very much grown up Zuma.
Adorable. And cute too!! Looks like Zuma has grown up to be one comfy pillow.

From cpurick, longtime lurker.
This is Winston, AKA StupidCat™. Like when you open the pantry door and he comes flying out -- "Stupid cat!"
Or when he jumps out from under the bed and bites your ankles as you walk by -- "Stupid cat!"
Or when you get up from the table to get a butter knife, and find him stalking your steak from your chair when you get back -- "Stupid Cat!"
A few months back this chowhound started getting thin. Too thin. My vet of 30 years said "diabetes", and warned me that half of diabetic cats won't make it six months. It strained our relationship when I insisted on a second opinion. I found a vet who specializes in cats.
My vet had warned me, six months. StupidCat™ lasted just 38 days. We let him go on September 30th.
Never peed on a single carpet, never destroyed anything. Damn near the perfect housecat. Slept curled up next to my wife's legs for 10 years. You were a good kitty, Winston.
It certainly sounds like Stupid Cat has left a big hole in your heart. So sorry to hear of your loss.

A follow up to last week's request to help out a lurker and the family's dog, Chester. Here is what I received and I thought I would pass along to you. The Horde is a great family.
Thank you for posting about Chester and thanks to all the morons who donated and shared his story as we have raised $1100 towards his vet bills which will cover his next two weeks vet visits.God bless you all .
So I wanted to post a current picture of his wounds to show how much progress he has made as the wounds are starting to close though according to the vet it will take about 4 weeks more for them to close compleate you.
He is also walking on his splits which makes us very happy.
