Pappy Van Winkle
If Val-U-Rite is at one end of the alcohol spectrum, than Pappy Van Winkle is at or close to the other end. Here's how to make a pretty fair substitute. Poor Man's Pappy. ...
“But for not those really fast efforts, I’m not sure if everybody would have survived,” Councilman Charles Allen told WTOP. “We are incredibly grateful for the Marines and also for several of our neighbors who went in and started banging on doors.”
Thanks to the Marines there were no fatalities. Full story
Addendum: Tragically, they missed one man, and nobody found him for five days. Miraculously, the man was said to be in good shape and good spirits.
