The Morning Report 7/2/18

Good morning kids. No rest for the weary, even on a July 4th weekend (where the actual holiday is on Wednesday). Lots of ground to cover so let's dive right in. Much of the news despite falling into different categories have the common thread of the American (and international) Left coming apart at the seams as it rages against the dying of the light; to wit, the election and wildly successful first 18 months of the Presidency of Donald Trump. There is a palpable and in fact visible sense of abject panic that not only can they not get rid of him despite the efforts of the entire Democrat-Left-Media complex, the Deep State bureaucracy and most of his own party, but that in fact he is cementing the support of his base and by some indications winning over new supporters among the apolitical and more crucially the Dems' own base.

From immigration/amnesty to gun control to speech issues to the courts and foreign policy, the common denominator in the news is President Trump and the trajectory of the nation. Since Woodrow Wilson instituted the income tax and the 17th amendment was ratified, destroying the delicate balance of bicameralism, this nation has been heading towards socialism. Every now and again the pace was slowed here an there, most significantly with the Reagan years, but never stopped, let alone reversed. Believe me, I am not going to tell you, gentle reader, that the Trump Administration is the end of the socialist counter-revolution nor even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps the end of the beginning (sorry, Winston).

The media has lost control of the narrative and in fact no longer is able to create the narrative. PDT has called them out for the liars and propagandists that they rightfully are. So of course when a psycho with a longstanding grudge against a newspaper goes on a shooting spree and wipes out the editorial room, the President is to be blamed. And how convenient; the Left can attack the president, the second and first amendments all in one fell swoop. Unfortunately for them, the public isn't buying it.

And so, having been not only rejected by the public at large but been exposed warts and all by this President, they have gone completely off the deep end. Their political leaders, journalists (so-called) and celebrities are openly calling for confrontation with him, his cabinet, party and supporters - and that's the least of it. The side-effect of all of this has been the Democrat Party tearing itself apart. From Bernardo Sandersnista to Jenny-from-the-block Cortez, bust-out Socialists/Communists are starting to win over the base of the party and that is causing some like Schemer and Palsi to resist it (more out of a sense of self preservation) while others like Hodgkinson-linked Durbin and Chubby Gillibrand are jumping on the abolish ICE/open borders bandwagon. In fact, if I didn't know better, I'd say Gillibrand is trying to upstage her puppet master. Watch out, Cuck.

Unfortunately, as the left pours gasoline all over itself and lights a match, the rest of us are caught up in the conflagration, which is what happened in Portland over the weekend along with Kirstjen Nielsen, Sarah Sanders, Stephen Miller, Ajit Pai and Pam Bondi, not to mention Steve Scalise and Rand Paul. These are dangerous times. Anyone who now does not see that is blind. I'm loathe to predict the future. But what I can see is that we are definitely at a turning point in history. Donald Trump has disrupted the course of history. How it all plays out is yet to be seen. Hang on and hang tough.

Lots of things going on and first up, PDT has met with his short list of SCOTUS picks and already Susan Collins is itching to pull a McCain on any Scalia-like pick because Planned Parenthood must have its parts, there was a mass-stabbing attack in Boise over the weekend and the press is embargoing the story for obvious reasons, the NY Times is calling for Pelosi, Hoyer and Clyburn to step down in the wake of Archie Bunker's demise in Queens, a hardcore leftist and Trump-hater has won the Mexican presidency so I guess that means a full-scale run for the border, Iranian unrest continues to heat up thanks to PDT's pressure and the shredding of Obama's deal, that Taint-Painter stooge is claiming that PDT somehow blackmailed Justice Kennedy into resigning and wants an investigation (Mewler is a bit busy now covering his ass and fabricating more crimes against Manafort, pal) and in brief, expect increased levels and intensities of violence from the Left leading up to the President's expected July 9th announcement of his SCOTUS nominee.
