MSNBC Idiot and Thumb Al Velshi Claims the NRA is "Secretly" Counting Him as a Member; NRA Says That He Has Never Been a Member, And They're Not Counting This Thumb as a Member

So many Thumbs and Taters.

The National Rifle Association told the Washington Free Beacon that MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi is not currently counted as one of its members and never has been, despite the anchor's on-air claim that the group conspired to count him as one in order to inflate their membership numbers.

"Mr. Velshi is not and has not been a member of the National Rifle Association," Jason Brown, NRA media relations manager, told the Free Beacon.

Velshi has claimed on air, without presenting any supporting evidence, that the NRA is secretly counting him as a member. On February 16, 2018, Velshi said each year he receives a membership card from the NRA despite never having signed up with or paid dues to the group.

Velshi did not show the membership card he claims he was sent or any other evidence supporting his claim, but he did go on to attack the NRA as akin to the "corn lobby" and interested only in protecting the profits of gun makers.

The NRA says that this genius might have been "confused" by marketing materials -- maybe (my guess) a sample, for-instance membership card (which is not a membership card until you actually activate it).

But I can't see how that's possible. These people are genius truth-missiles that unfailingly hone in on the truth (and blow it up).

It's just not possible that they could make an error like this -- is it? I mean, this is the sort of mistake a doddering old man makes, thinking he's really gotten a new credit card when all a credit card company did was offer him one.

I wonder if Al Velshi also believes he's a Federal Bikini Inspector because someone bought him a t-shirt bearing this official credential.
