The Morning Report 2/28/18

Good morning kids. Middle of the week and up front, a suspicious envelope received at the Fort Myer military base has made several people ill and sent three to the hospital. No word from the Son of a Postage Stamp if we need envelope control or to raise the age of mailing letters to 21. Stay tuned for developments, in both the story and snark.

Of course, the disarming of lawful Americans because of Leftist-induced violence tops the headlines this morning. Despite the best (worst) efforts of the Democrat-Media complex to convince us otherwise, Americans in the main are "standing their ground" as it were, as evidenced by both a fine editorial from IBD and the latest Rasmussen survey showing people thinking government is the problem and not guns by a clear two to one margin. Even Paul Ryan, who is generally not known around these parts for a steel spine is striking the right chords about the aforementioned cultural rot and mental health issues. Naturally, none of this phases Cuck Schemer and company, and Rep Tom Massie is warning us about the GOP-e ready, willing and able to sell us out on this.

On to Amnesty and Immigration, several links illustrate clearly the perils of open borders and lawlessness, both from foreign invaders jumping our borders to those we willingly invite in to elected officials who are openly insurrectionist. The mayor of Oakland, California by all that is right and good should be arrested and imprisoned for her actions in aiding and abetting the obstruction of justice. Legal eagles may weigh in but considering the citizenry of that shit-hole and the somnolent atmosphere at the DoJ, this fiend won't be going anywhere more dangerous than an unlicensed nail salon. That said, the disastrous early parole policy of Governor Moonbeam may unleash up to 10,000 sex offenders upon the Golden State in the very near future so there is that (and your definition of "that" may vary).

In the Mueller Meshugas, just why did the FBI let Imran Awan's wife, who is regarded as a co-conspirator in the Congressional hacking case, flee the country while the Federalist ponders the Herculean task of reforming our national intelligence and law enforcement agencies that have been so utterly poisoned with political hacks.

The big news on the political front is barely into his second year in office, the President has announced his intention to seek reelection in 2020. Considering Mueller and everything else being hurled at him, that announcement, probably the earliest one that I can recall, has got be sending the Left into paroxysms of rage. Good. Choke on it. As I have said, November is both light years away and just around the corner but considering the unmasking, if you will, of the Media, the Left and their now naked display of hatred for not only the President but every vestige of what makes this country great, my confidence in the outcomes for the midterms and even 2020 is growing day by day. Let's not be lax or continue to bask in the glow of November 2016, fun as that might be. The fight goes on every day.
