The Morning Report 1/11/18
Good morning kids. Over the hump and heading to the weekend. First up, we have Dianne Feinstein explaining that her naked attempt to mitigate the damage of Glenn Simpson's testimony by leaking it was because she had a head cold and couldn't think straight. That was after she said she was pressured to release it before walking that back when she couldn't our wouldn't say by whom or what.
The decision by the President on whether or not to scrap the Iran Nuke Deal Sellout comes tomorrow and reports are that H.R McMustard and other Deep Staters in the inner circle (yes, they are there) are desperately pressuring him to stay in, along with such execrable turds as the co-author of the illegal "treaty" Bob Corker. Levin lit into him as only he can, and I have a link to it if you want to raise your BP. This bill stinks on ice on so many levels, and considering it directly funds the tyranny that is now crushing the Iranian people as well as threatening the world with terrorism, standard issue and nuclear, the only sane thing to do is to scrap it with extreme prejudice.
Moving along we have the Amnesty/Immigration battle. Tu-Ca slammed Jorge (pronounced "whore, hey") Ramos for once again playing the race card to avoid losing a debate on the merits, Daniel Greenfield with another great outing on the myth of the "Hispanic" and why the border wall means death to the Democrat party, and we have Rush confidently doubling down on his assertion that PDT's meeting with Congressional leaders was no sell-out on DACA and Amnesty, but his playing of the media to explode the myths of the Michael Wolff Book.
And then there is the fallout from the absolutely illegal ruling by a judge nullifying a Presidential executive order. We've discussed it at length in the comments yesterday across various threads and I maintain that it does present, if not a Constitutional crisis per se, then a direct threat to the proper functioning of government via a usurpation of power, and as such a threat to the rule of and respect for the law. I am of the mindset of one of the commenters who said that by going to SCOTUS to seek redress every time this happens sets up a dangerous pecking order/precedent that puts the 9th Circus above the Executive Branch. I think the President just needs to ignore this and let the 9th Circus twist in the wind.
Speaking of SCOUTS, I highlight three cases being argued that will have ramifications when the decisions come down in June. That said, we really have to address this issue where a nation of 320 million people wait for nine flawed fellow citizens to make decisions that will affect them all forever, with no way to reverse them.
From hither and yon, DeBolshevik, the tyrannical Marxist horse's ass is suing the oil companies because, cold weather and presidential run, a health club chain has cut the cord on cable news because watching it is unhealthy, Jeff Lord on the abandonment of Dr. King by the left (waiting for Talcum X to call him an Uncle Tom and demand the rescinding of the Federal holiday), some R&B singer rightly refused to kiss a transexual freak on live TV and now he will be banished to the gulag and lastly an interesting essay on the strategic importance of the other side of the Arabian Peninsula, the Red Sea.
Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
