Weekend Gun Thread
(The Puckle Gun)
As we all know the semi-automatic riffle has been at the center of the Left's howl for "gun control". Second amendment proponents have been repeatedly told the Founding Fathers didn't have anything more than a musket.
Not so fast Left Winger. 1718 saw the invention of the Puckle Gun.
A ‘machine gun’ from the 1700s? The Puckle Gun puts a lie to the anti-Second Amendment narrative that says it was written with only single shot musket in mind.
Ian from Forgotten Weapons is at the Institute of Military Technology, a fascinating museum located in Titusville, Florida. Today he’s examining a mostly original early 1700s Puckle Gun.
The Puckle Gun was patented by London lawyer, inventor and author James Puckle in 1718. It was officially titled the Defence Gun and was a flintlock weapon with a revolver-like rotating cylinder of six to eleven shots.

We'll go back to single shot flintlocks when the MSM go back to the town cryer system, etc. etc. etc.
*****
As a father of three daughters, I understand the next story, I don't condone the Father's behaviour, But, I do understand the story.
If I let your underage child into my tavern and someone is injured or killed because of this negligence I am going to be sued. If you're a government worker and don't put a
scumbag on the "NO GUNS" List and someone is hurt and/or killed what happens? Why the same government you work for just excuses your negligence and creates yet another law.
A bill introduced in the House last week aims to expand background check to cover firearm sales at gun shows, over the Internet or in classified ads.
The measure, H.R.4240, has 39 lawmakers supporting the move, including two Republicans. U.S. Rep. Mike Thompson, D-Calf., said he aims to exclude criminals from gun purchases by mandating more checks and improving the current system.
We don't need any more laws. The government needs to do their GodDamn job.
She revealed that 38 states report fewer than 80 percent of felony convictions to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which means there are seven million felony convictions that are unreported.
"This is why this law needs to be enforced. But politicians have to call for those records to be submitted," Loesch said.
She also noted that Kelley reportedly lied on Federal Form 4473, which prospective gun buyers must fill out. He reportedly checked a box indicating he had not been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
"In 2010, you had 80,000 prohibited possessors that tried to purchase a firearm through their 4473. That's an actionable offense. And yet, guess how many of those were prosecuted? 44," Loesch said.
"This has to change and politicians have to call for it, especially the ones calling for gun control today."
In the you can't fix fucking stupid department.
Stephanie Ruhle, anchor on MSNBC Live, is such a person.
According to Mediaite, the following is an actual statement made by Ms. Rule on live television:
Why do you need any assault rifles? An assault rifle is different than a gun. A hunting enthusiast and one who needs an assault rifle, those are two different things.
What's going on in your world with firearms? Here in WI the White-Tail Deer Gun season is next weekend. The trusty old .30-06 is sighted in and ready. Although Mrs. MH has given her blessings on a new riffle. Wonder what I should get?
