Reports: The European Parliament Is Also an Insular Progressive Bubble Filled With Harvey-Weinstein-Like Sexual Predators
If you're wondering what progressive-dominated institution will be the next to catch flame, turns out, it's the European parliament.

THE EUROPEAN Parliament has been accused of being a "hotbed of sexual harassment" after a string of MEPs accused politicians of inappropriate behaviour.
After the Harvey Weinstein scandal engulfed Hollywood last week, now politicians in Brussels say there is a problem at the heart of the European Union too.
More than a dozen women accused politicians of groping, stalking, harassment, and treating them like meat, a Sunday Times investigation revealed.
One assistant revealed that a senior MEP masturbated in front of a young assistant, and another aide told of how they were groped.
And one said how a leading German MEP "stalked her" in meetings and made repeated advances towards her.
She said that the parliament is "an absolute hotbed of harassment", because MEPs are "not accountable to anyone".
How widespread is the harassment? Well, Politico Europe Playbook has found 87 women and six men willing to make complaints, some anonymously, some by name.
Allegations made to Playbook include EU work contracts offered in exchange for sex, young women being sent to bars and dinners to trade sexual favors for legislative ones, a staffer asked to book prostitutes for their MEP boss, women bailed up in toilets at work functions, and men bullied, then sent on paid leave.
You can listen to some of the stories in the "Dear POLITICO" section of the EU confidential podcast (Episodes one to 12).
Jeanne Ponte, a prize-winning College of Europe student from France who became an assistant at the European Parliament for the center-left MEP Edouard Martin, told Le Figaro she has collected 50 instances of inappropriate behavior including "a political adviser who sent me in the middle of the night photos of me, taken without my knowledge."
This is apparently a very common thing, which I (blessedly) do not get at all:
Additional stories told to Pancevski included a senior MEP masturbating in front of a much younger staffer.
Why are progressive-instituted institutions such hotbeds of corruption and sexual harassment? Maybe it has something to do with that "accountability to no one" they've granted themselves. Because they're Better People (TM), and deserve to be unaccountable.
Oh, and it doesn't stop with the European Parliament -- many of the stories are about the various NGOs - the alleged do-gooder non-governmental organizations that infest capitals like lice.
Playbook's research indicates the problem is systemically significant and goes beyond the European Parliament. A little over half the stories told to Playbook are about incidents in the private sector, including at NGOs.
