The Morning Report 10/12/17

Good morning kids. Above the fold, the California wildfires are causing potentially as much pain and suffering and destruction as any hurricane. Please stay safe; material things are expendable. You and yours are not.

Still in the lead is the continuing fallout over the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse scandal. There are all sorts of theories as to why this is happening, from the ridiculous - it's a way to bring back the mish-grabbing story as the means to bring down PDT, after which Harvey will have been rehabilitated/restored, to the semi-plausible - Harvey's pro-Israel stance conflicts with the NY Times' openly anti-Israel position (meh, Jews like Weinstein become anti-Semitic propaganda fodder) to the likely - his massive ego and profligate spending (much of which was to pay off victims) drained so much of his power and influence as to make him not just expendable, but a liability. The Clintons and the Obamas, the Left's figurehead leaders of record, are caught up in this shit-storm up to their necks. And in a related story in the links, top Democrat Senators continued to fund Bob Menendez even after his indictment for corruption. And lest we forget, he has been linked over and over again to sex with underage hookers as well as providing same to donors and cronies.

And Weinstein is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to show business' dirty open secret of sexual abuse against women, children and even men. Plus, as Ace alluded too last night in his great post, Hollywood provides the money and the relentless propaganda barrage against our history, culture and way of life so that something like this, if Democrat damage control doesn't work, can perhaps bring down or at least significantly neuter much of their influence on the people and critically the youth of our nation, already brainwashed for nearly 50 years. We will still have to deal with the root cause of the poisoning - the academia-agitprop complex, since everything in life is downstream from that - but this is turning into a gigantic story that could have far reaching implications, especially in light of the public's reaction/rejection of the NFL. If we can channel that reaction and tie what goes on with the anthem kneeling to what is going on in Hollywood both in front of and behind the camera, then that could be a titanic cultural shift in our favor. One that is desperately needed.

In other news, the President made an appearance in Pennsylvania where he pitched his tax plan as well as the continued fight to mitigate Obamacare's destruction if not get rid of it altogether to an enthusiastic blue collar audience. He even hinted at insurance across state lines which would be huge. I love the fact that he is not giving up in the face of a GOP-e that is openly vowing to thwart his agenda. And related to that, conservatives are openly calling for Mitch McCriminal to step down as leader while in the House, you'll be happy to know that nine congressfools are sponsoring a bump stock ban bill. With Republicans like these...

And this is why Steve Bannon is putting the heat on the party. And, no, he is not touting the "we-just-need-to-win-more-elections" as the cure-all. He is saying that after the elections, those we put in office have to fight the fight day in and day out and avoid being seduced by the McConnells and Ryans of this world. That I totally agree with and get. Somewhat related, Ben Sasse-hole is a jerk.

From hither and yon, Part 2 of James Okeefe's NY Times sting has dropped, there's an interesting piece about the even faster leftward descent of the Democrats and the Boy Scouts are now accepting girls. And we wonder about Harvey Weinstein. Sheesh.
