Shock: Susan Kristol, Wife of Bill, Now Donating to Democrat Gubernatorial Candidate in Virginia

Jim Geraghty notes that anyone who says they're not going to donate to Republicans who mostly share Trump's positions are going to donate to very few Republicans-- even flaky #FakeRepublican Jeff Flake is aligned with Trump 91% of the time.

But a lot of Republicans in the leadership class are, and always have been, very liberal. They used the Republican Party as a flag of convenience for pursuing their own agenda points, while always being in broad ideological agreement with the progressives whose dinner parties they attended.

I don't usually like dropping one shock on you and then another shock before you've had time to recover, but please take a seat and surround your head with pillows: John Kasich may leave the GOP.

Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union, the 65-year-old Pennsylvania native said he just might have to leave the party of Lincoln because under the leadership of you-know-who the party is broken.

"If the party can't be fixed, Jake, then I’m not going to be able to support the party. Period," Kasich said. "That's the end of it."

Usually, when someone like this quits the GOP, they say "I didn't leave the party, the party left me," and then we jeer them. In this case, though, I'll heartily agree: We did leave you, you narcissistic liberal asshole.
