Jabberin' Jim Acosta: I Totally Pwned Stephen Miller Yesterday
O Lord, protect the sweet imbeciles from their stupid brains.
CCNN's Jim Acosta claimed he had the upper hand in his faceoff with White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller at Wednesday's daily press briefing.
"I think what you saw unfold in the briefing room is that he [Miller] really just couldn't take that kind of heat and exploded before our eyes," Acosta said in an appearance on CNN Wednesday night, hours after the face-off.
Meanwhile, in reality:
Here are some quotes from that exchange I missed. I enjoy "That sounds like national park revisionism" the best:
When Stephen Miller tried to explain that poems on statues do not constitute immigration policy, Acosta doubled down.
“You’re saying that does not represent what the country has always thought of as generations coming into this country?” Acosta shot back. “That sounds like some national park revisionism.”
“Tell me what years meet Jim Acosta’s definition of the statue of liberty poem law of the land,” Miller pressed the CNN reporter. “You’re saying one million (immigrants) a year is the Statue of Liberty law of the land?”
Acosta then tried to argue that talks of a border wall decreased legal immigration.
"Surely, Jim, you don't think that a wall affects green card policy," Miller said. "Do you really at CNN not know the difference between green card policy and illegal immigration? You really don’t know that?"
That's pretty special -- confusing illegal and legal immigration policy. But the left seems to have completely eradicated the distinction between them in their own minds, so it's not surprising Acosta would conflate them.
These people really are stupid. Every day I'm just shocked anew by how horrible our self-declared cognitive elite are at cognition. They're stupid people who seem to have learned nothing in college, and more importantly, nothing since.
Does anyone else feel this way? Not just anger, but despair? How can a nation endure when its political/media class is so abysmally stupid?
I don't think any such countries do endure.
These people are stupid parasites genetically programmed to kill their hosts by eating healthy tissue and then shitting out poisons inside them.
David Harsanyi, who say's he's generally pro-immigration, takes Jabberin' Jim to task nonetheless for his twatty dogmatism on the liberal open borders "rite."
Is it un-American, as Acosta alleges, to regulate the number of immigrants we allow in the country? Does "The New Colossus" say: "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, but keep them at around one million new green cards every year or it's un-American?"
Is it un-American to give preference to immigrants who have already shown the propensity to assimilate? Is it un-American to prioritize immigrants who have skills in jobs we need filled? Is any reform of immigration -- other than to legalize millions by executive fiat -- un-American? I may disagree with a certain immigration policy, but changing the parameters of immigration policy is not an unpatriotic act.
Leftist do seem to conceive of "America" as being, as the best version of itself, an open-borders socialist third-world shithole, and any attempt to course-correct away from that is therefore "un-American."
