Ace of Spades Pet Thread
(The internet has some cute photos would't you agree?)
Welcome to the almost world famous Ace of Spades Pet Thread. Tell your furry friend to chill for awhile. It's that time you grab a beverage and a s-n-a-c-k, relax and see what's happening in the animal world.
A Little of This. A Little of That.
Didn't Glen Campbell sing Like a rhinestone Canine Cowboy? Our dogs can't chew a snack and walk at the same time. How about yours?
Our very own ibguy has dog named Maddie who has undergone surgery. Water therapy for doggehs. h/t ibguy
How old is your dog in human years? Take the quiz. h/t Hrothgar
Meet the man whose life is hell. Thanks to PETA .

Meet The PetMorons
We added a new little PetMoron to the Horde last month. He's a Golden Retriever whose name is Whiskey and he joins his uncle, Murphy, who of course is a veteran PetMoron.
Thanks for continuing the Pet Thread. It's always one of my favorites. :)
Regards,
IrishEi
Cute puppy. Handsome dog. Thanks IrishEi
Here are two photos of our recently adopted senior rescues: Jake (14 year old black/gray poodle) and Prince (maybe 10 year old white poodle). As you can see, they are adjusting quickly to their new home. Jake is fond of his car seat/daybed. Lots of cushion to help him sleep. And Prince was clearly ready for his close-up.
Thanks for the wonderful pet thread.
Regards,
JTB and Mrs. JTB
Takes a special couple to adopt a couple of older dogs. The Pet Thread would like to meet you & shake your hand.
This is a picture of my recently departed Sugar, the meek and mild who loved watching animals outside and chattering at them, played paper ball and and felt she was second fiddle to her sister- blackpowder723
Sorry to hear of your loss.
We do not have any pets. The 5-9 wild rabbits in the front lawn every day do not count, nor do the 3-6 deer that use us as a bed and breakfast. And the 8 Jersey cows that got out of a neighbor's fence and decided to graze on our front lawn and weed the landscaping in the front of the house last Sunday, to the absolute delight of my wife, also do not count.
Every year, twice a year, we host a clutch of Eastern Phoebes in a nest site under the deck in the back of the house. The size is from 4 to five eggs at a time. B oth male and female Phoebes care for their young. The best news is they eat insects. I've seen them grab butterflies in midair on a windy day.
Except for the occasional nest check and photo op, we leave them alone. But they are always around in the spring and summer on the deck railing looking for flying food.
You said you had a backlog of real pet photos. If you want, here is a photo of our birds for a future Pet thread.
Ciao,
NaCly Dog
It's folks like you who keep the Pet Thread going. Thank you for your kind words.
Trouble came into our lives in a box. A large animal vet had come by to work on one of our steers and as she was packing up, my wife heard the cry of kitty in the vet's truck. The vet saw this little guy on the side of the road and stopped to pick it up. One thing lead to another and we got Trouble. A few days latter, I was working at home and I went to the kitchen for some coffee . I heard a noise and turned around to see the little guy up on the dining room table sitting in a PINT produce basket. (We guess he climbed up the table cloth). Way too cute.
I guess I'm a lurker. I barely have time to Ace of Spades HQ let along post. But I thought this would fit right in on the Saturday Pet Thread.

Cute Trouble I might add.
