The Morning Report 6/15/17
Good morning, kids. Obviously, this morning we are devoting the lion's share of links to yesterday's terrorist attack on GOP politicians. Prayers for Steve Scalise, the others who were wounded and their families at this hour. May the good Lord grant them a speedy and complete recovery. There are quite a number of issues as well as questions that need to be answered as well as what the appropriate response to this attack should be. First, who was the shooter? Who was he connected to and considering his track record, how did he manage to camp out in DC for a period of weeks? What I want to know is, was he funded by a Soros-connected or other radical extremist organization bent on the overthrow of the US? Related to that question, considering the Deep State corruption of federal law enforcement at the highest levels, how can we trust the FBI to uncover the truth about the terrorist if in fact they share the same antipathy to President Trump and his agenda as he did, albeit without the overt violence (so far)? Without getting into tinfoil hat territory, recall that there are still lingering questions that Oklahoma City was more than McVeigh and Nichols but could have had an Islamic element to it, which was quashed by the FBI. Lastly, one would think this brazen an act of politcally-inspired terrorism would make the American Left or at least the overwhelming majority of average Democrats or liberals pause, reflect and consider what was done in their name. They have not. Just look at Twitter. Mere hours after Steve Scalise was bleeding to death on a baseball field, GOP politicians received death threats. "1 Down, 216 to Go" read one of them. There's a link below where a journalist complained not about the violence, but that the violence needs to be better organized to be effective. That's not some lone nutjob somewhere; that is someone, putatively with an intellect and cognitive ability, who is what passes for a mainstream journalist at a major outlet. The incident yesterday is not isolated; it has been building to this point since at least last January 20th if not before. It has been stoked by Barack Obama ("get in their faces") and others and now it has gone from being shouted down and chased off of campuses to being smashed in the head with a bike lock to being poisoned, ambushed in the streets and finally gunned down. The forces of the Deep State/Establishment/Progressivism/Statists are in open revolt against a duly and legally elected President. The Media/Academia/Entertainment Propaganda Complex is openly inciting violence and even before yesterday getting it. We have reached a point where civilized discourse and debate is not an option, for the simple reason that the other side does not want to engage in civilized discourse and debate. They seek our destruction, rhetorically and now apparently physically. Ace yesterday wrote "Pain is a teacher. And it is beyond time for an education." Well, I'm open to any and all suggestions that gets the message across while redounding on us in the least painful way possible.
PRAY.
Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
