Comey Will Testify as "Fact Witness," and Leave it To His Friends in the Media to Speculate About Criminality

Well, the media, and his buddies who he ventriloquizes to the media through.


This seems to be a position from which Comey can avoid answering questions (like, if you thought this was obstruction, weren't you duty-bound to report it and maybe resign in protest?). Instead, he'll claim to have no opinion about that -- he'll say something folksy like "That's above my pay grade," even though, as head of the FBI, that was his pay grade -- and then have his sycophants and friends leak out, not under oath or subject to cross-examination, what he really thinks.
