Debbie Wasserman Schultz Booed at Florida Delegation Breakfast at Start of Convention
What a sweetie.
A meeting of Florida Democratic delegates descended into chaos when outgoing Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz took the stage Monday, with critics holding up signs with the word "Emails" and Bernie Sanders supporters booing the congresswoman loudly, even after she began speaking.
"We have to make sure that we move forward together in a unified way," Wasserman Schultz said during brief remarks. "We know that the voices in this room that are standing up and being disruptive, we know that is not the Florida that we know. The Florida that we know is going to make sure that we continue to make jobs."
The audience was roughly half supportive of Wasserman Schultz and half detractors, though the angry participants were louder than the other half. Those attendees began to chant, "Shame! Shame! Shame!" while Wasserman Schultz was speaking..
I like how anything you say to a Democrat is parried by "We shouldn't be talking about this, we should be talking about how to Make Jobs for the Middle Class."
Apparently even at breakfast, Democratic footsoldiers -- who probably have never worked in the private sector, let alone owned a company-- are expected to hush up and just Make Some Jobs while they eat their eggs.
Fearing an embarrassment when she approaches the podium, Democrats are now pressuring the sneaky snaggletooth to abandon her role at the convention altogether.
Oh, and Nancy Pelosi was booed at the California delegation breakfast.
Furthermore, they chanted "Lock her up!" at that breakfast.
Dudes: It's only breakfast and they're already in meltdown.
