Lindsey Graham Holds Fundraiser for... Ted Cruz
Pigs are flying and Hell is a little nippy.
Meanwhile, Marco Rubio says that either Kasich or Cruz would be preferable to Trump, but says that, with his own departure, Cruz is "the only conservative left in the race."
The secret, and yet well-publicized, #NeverTrump meeting resulted in the group dismissing the idea of a third party bid (a practical impossibility anyway) and is just going to unite behind Cruz.
But the Establishment has other ideas.
Determined that they will have a pliant establishment moderate as candidate or they'll blow the party up, the governor of Utah is going to endorse Kasich, and thus further reduce Cruz's chances of getting the 50% winner-take-all, and thus throwing further delegates to Trump.
You know what? The hell with all of this. It becomes increasingly difficult for me to care what happens to this party.
Note that this is a party which (insincerely) advocates devolving power from the political capital out to the states. Yet the Establishment itself does nothing but fight to keep that power as centralized in their hands as possible.
