I meant this for the sidebar, as I'm sure you figured out.

Showtime is running a documentary called "Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead: The History of National Lampoon." It's a thin and quick documentary -- I really wish there had been more stories, more detail; "We did a lot of drugs and picked up a lot of chicks" isn't really a story. But still, if you liked this magazine (and I know many of you did), it's certainly worth watching. It covers, basically, just the first 10 years of the magazine. It didn't really last much longer than that, except in influence.
