Obama, the Candidate Who Faulted Bush for His Unending Wars, Now Tells Us We Are In a "Generational" Struggle With ISIS

This could take some time, the American Einstein concludes.

This is, of course, part of Obama's public relations strategy to cover up the fact that he is not fighting ISIS except in a desultory, PR fashion and in fact would not fight them at all if he had more "flexibility" to abandon the fight.

So now he just says he's super-smart and has figured out a cool way to beat them in.... 20-40 years.

He also says they'll be beaten not by guns but by "ideas." Which in this administration means... hashtag campaigns.

Yes, he is now making a legacy-oriented defense of fighting wars with #HashtagJustice.

"This is not simply a military effort," Obama said in remarks after getting briefed on the anti-ISIS effort at the Pentagon. "Ideologies are not defeated by guns. They're defeated with better ideas."

To that end, Obama said the United States was stepping up efforts to counteract ISIS' online recruitment operations, and encourage other countries with large Muslim populations to increase economic opportunities for young people who are exploited by the terror group into joining their radical, violent cause.

"This larger battle for hearts and minds is going to be a generational struggle," Obama said.

Now, how much progress is the Obama Administration making? Well, in 2014, John Kerry told the world that ISIS would be beaten within three years, and now Obama has extended that to 20-40 years, so...

"We're convinced that in the days ahead we have the ability to destroy ISIL," Kerry said Friday in Wales, where he was attending a NATO summit along with U.S. President Barack Obama. "It may take a year, it may take two years, it may take three years. But we’re determined it has to happen."

It may take a year, or even up to three, huh?

Yeah we're making smashing progress against ISIS. We have reduced the amount of time needed to defeat them from 3 years to 20 years.

Now:

Why are those unpatriotic Republicans sounding such sour notes about our progress in this non-war war of hashtags?
