Saturday Politics Thread: FrankenPOTUS [Y-not]
Niedermeyer's Dead Horse (aka @mflynny on Twitter) had a really great idea the other day: construct your ideal politician out of parts of various people.
I'm still working on the follow up to last week's labor policies post, so how about we have some fun and fool around with her idea?
Here are a few lists to help inspire you:
Ranker's list of the most influential people of all time
YouGovUK's poll of the most admired people in the world
The Atlantic's list of the 100 most influential figures in American history
Your task is to build the ideal President. We'll call him (or her) "FrankenPOTUS." Please stick to using people (living or dead or even fictional) that we all might know (no fair sucking up to that rich uncle of yours by choosing HIM!) and don't use the same person more than once.
Ready?
From whom would you take the following qualities:
APPEARANCE
SPEAKING STYLE
INTELLECT
HEART
"GUTS"
EXPERIENCE
The idea is to just have fun with this, so don't sweat the specifics too much.
Here's mine:
My FrankenPOTUS would have:
the good looks of Grace Kelly,
communicate like Mike Rowe,
have Leonardo da Vinci's brain,
possess Anne Frank's heart,
demonstrate "guts" like George Washington,
and have lived a life as rich and admirable as Frederick Douglass.
To close things up, here's a short clip of what not to do:
