Uh Oh: Romney's Inner Circle Is Convinced He's Running
Now Allah's got Romney's donors trolling us too.
Meanwhile, A.B. Stoddard says Jeb Bush isn't running. Not based on any source saying so, but just general observations, such as: "People who are running attempt some kind of papering-over of sharp differences with their voters."
Bush has not abandoned or amended his support for immigration reform and Common Core education standards, and both are deal-breakers with the far right...
The "far right." And this is A.B. Stoddard, frequent guest on Bret Baier's show. But holding those positions makes one "far right." Extremist.
I'm always amused by the Bubble World the liberal media makes for itself, in which their positions, no matter how left-wing, are taken to be the neutral, zero-position Middle of Political Thought.
So opposing Common Core is a "far" right position. You know, the way that half of all teachers are now extreme right wingers, or something.
...
Bush has thought about running. Frankly, as a Bush, it is his duty when party stalwarts plead with him to save the party and rescue the country to say, yes, it would be his honor to consider the mission. But he knows more than any candidate, save for Hillary Clinton, who has run her own campaign and was spouse in two, how awful running for president can be. He saw his father and brother each do it twice, followed by what happened once they served as president as well.
People who run for president burn for the prize, focus only on the outcome, so what keeps them going once they realize it's a buzz saw is drive. Bush has seen the vortex up close, and he doesn't sound the least bit driven.
Yeah that's true. Everytime I see Bush, he sounds tired. Everything he says is so pro forma. Even when he's saying Defiant, Controversial, Heretical things, he sounds pretty bored about the whole deal.
