Director of the CDC: Hey, I've Got a Great New Idea. From Now On, We'll Have a Protocol That Says That High Risk Potential Ebola Cases Will be Banned From Commercial Air Travel.
What?
This is a new idea?
I guess I'm a crazy liberal with an untoward amount of faith in government, because I assumed the government was already imposing such a commonsense, bare-minimum restriction on High Risk potential ebola cases.
But no -- it's a new policy going forward.
Meanwhile, you know this is now officially serious, because President Golf n' Fundraise has cancelled planned fundraisers in NJ and Connecticut to actually trouble himself to pretend to do his job for a day.
He'll be having some briefings on ebola. Not a minute too soon, either.
Just the right time for briefings on ebola.
Any sooner? Premature, and signs of irrational panic.
Oh: At allah's post (first link), the CDC is asking passengers who flew with the 2nd Nurse to contact them.
Instead of, oh, here's a crazy notion: Getting those passenger's names and contacting them on their own initiative.
Out of An Abundance of Caution
...we'll be doing the absolute bare minimum, after being politically embarrassed into doing so.
