Every Time The Mask Slips

An NJ senator was caught on a hot mic saying they needed a bill that was going to confiscate guns and demeaning the efforts of gun rights groups that want to focus on effective crime prevention measures.

The discussion reveals absolute contempt for the Second Amendment and those who exercise it, as well as complete ignorance of the fact that gun rights organizations like ANJRPC have long advocated for clear and specific legislation punishing criminals who misuse firearms, instead of misguided legislation (like the bills currently being pushed by Senate Democrats) that demonizes hardware.

The bill's being considered tomorrow. If you're in NJ, you might want to lob in a call to your senator.

Westford MA Anti-Gun Selectman Unceremoniously Dumped

You may remember this story from a few months back, when a loony left selectman proposed an "assault weapons" and magazine ban in the wake of Newtown. The resulting backlash kept the ban from moving forward, but it seems the good citizens of Westford weren't quite done.

Jefferies [the gun grabber --andy], who has served the town for more than 20 years, received the least number of votes -- 1,206.

Also from here in MA, the Town of Sudbury soundly defeated an anti-2A town bylaw proposal, and the Massachusetts Gun Owner's Action League (GOAL) is seeing significant membership growth.

Lesson for progtards everywhere: you mess with the bull, you get the horns.
