WAA POLL: WALKER 52% BARRETT 43%
We Ask America, a Republican-leaning firm (the one rumored late last week) finds Walker in his strongest perfomance yet, leading Democratic challenger Tom Barrett 52% to 43%. He only narrowly carries the Independent vote, but near-perfect support amongst Republicans and a projected Republican-favored Likely Voter turnout model (evidenced by Tuesday's primary showings) push him way beyond the margin of error. Calls were automated on Mother's Day, so that does skew this but a data point is a data point.
Daily Kos' PPP poll of Wisconsin is scheduled for release tomorrow, and I do expect Barrett to be doing better than in the previous poll but Walker to still be ahead in it, barring a D+anything LV sample. Even in that case, this skews the average greatly in favor of the governor.
