Update on Scandals...
Bad news on both fronts.
I said there would be breaking news on the Ayers connection "this week." I was wrong. The weekend began with the source wanting to talk, and a high-profile radio host wanting to talk, too.
But that was then. Since then the source has gotten cold feet. He does this. He's afraid. One day he's willing to do an on the record interview; the next day he's not even willing to do an off-the-record one.
I think he's decided he's not going to say boo. I'm told it's still possible, but I doubt it. This guy has backed out of interviews multiple times. I see no reason for this pattern to change going forward.
I thought I'd finally helped this along, getting the handshake between Source and Outlet, but if the Source isn't talking, even with his name concealed and his voice obscured, that's that.
BTW, I was told to say nothing about this, and I'm sorry for not honoring this request, but alas, having said the story would come out this week, I kinda have to.
I thought this would be the easy one: No real legwork required. Just a guy being interviewed. But he's worried, and he probably figures that the media doesn't care about Bill Ayers babysitting Obama's kids, so why put himself and his family in jeopardy?
On the Obama GF thing: The National Enquirer is/was on the story, but, as I long feared about them, they're not running it.
Oh, I think they will run it: In December or January.
But not before their precious Obama stands for election.
They're telling the people who've done the legwork on the story that "things don't check out," which contradicts what I know. There's at least one source talking and maybe another.
I think they've strung people along long enough to keep the story from being seriously shopped to anyone else before the election.
Compare this to their glee in running idiotic charges against Sarah Palin before they were even able to bribe a convict to say, "Oh, right, I knew that guy was having an affair, it wasn't until just recently I realize it must have been with Sarah Palin."
That "checked out," according to the National Enquirer.
