Creepy Inbred Millionaire Wants Jenna Bush Tortured To Make Stupid Incoherent Point [Kensington]

Time Magazine did a Q&A with Stephen King. The article starts off with King making the not-at-all-obvious point that the news media is shallow and sensationalistic (really?)
Then it gets weird:
So I said something to the Nightline guy about waterboarding, and if the Bush administration didn't think it was torture, they ought to do some personal investigation. Someone in the Bush family should actually be waterboarded so they could report on it to George. I said, I didn't think he would do it, but I suggested Jenna be waterboarded and then she could talk about whether or not she thought it was torture. And then the guy from Nightline said, "Well, obviously you've not been watching World News Tonight with Charlie Gibson." But I do — I watch 'em all!
Emphasis added. Okay, now whether or not waterboarding is torture, it’s obvious that King believes it is torture. Let’s note that and set it aside for just a moment.
Jenna Bush is 26 years old. She is not a politician, nor is she a terrorist or enemy combatant. She’s a school teacher, and a public school teacher to boot. Further, she recently returned from Latin America, where she’d done an internship working at a shelter in Latin America for UNICEF, and this asshole thinks nothing of suggesting she should be waterboarded.
King, as brainlessly knee-jerk liberal as they come, doesn’t like her father’s politics, so he thinks the President's daughter should be subjected to a treatment he considers torture. He does not manage to communicate what purpose that would serve, and Time’s Gilbert Cruz doesn’t bother to follow up. Perhaps Cruz also thinks it’s a searing point. I’m assuming that King would say that Bush wouldn’t be so willing to waterboard people if his children would have to go through it, but isn’t that the whole point? We aren’t just waterboarding random people for the hell of it! I wouldn't want my daughter locked up in county jail, either, but I still think county jail is a good idea for criminals!
The bizarre fixation that the Left has on the Bush twins has always been creepy, but this is the worst one yet, I think, even worse than those insisting that Jenna be sent into combat in Iraq. Now they’ll say that they’re only joking to make a point, but it’s a remarkably stupid point. Even if waterboarding is questionable, how does it follow that waterboarding our young schoolteachers would clarify anything? Why don’t we just torture the bad guys and not torture the innocent hotties? Why isn’t this obvious to King?
Further, even if it’s just a joke to make a point, hasn’t the point, lame as it is, been made now about ten million times? Why are these half-wits still so obsessed with punishing Bush’s daughters? Haven’t they noticed that everyone around them has already made the same stupid joke over and over? Imagine the outrage if one percent of this crap were directed at Chelsea Clinton.
Still, I’m a reasonable man, and since we are at war I want to see the country united, so I’m willing to make some concessions to our friends on the Left. Therefore, if Jenna Bush absolutely must be tortured in order to satisfy these idiots, I say make her read anything Stephen King’s written since 1986. By page 50 of the Tommyknockers, she’ll be begging for a waterboarding.
On a slightly related note, The Mist, the relatively-lame-but-not-entirely-awful anti-Christian horror movie based on King’s 1980 novella, is tanking at the box office. I saw it. It's primarily tedious, with a dopey ending that's designed to shock and depress but mainly just lands with a thud.
