ABC Airs Moonbat Fantasia Last Night [Kensington]
Last night ABC ran the first episode of a new anthology series entitled Masters of Science Fiction. The premier episode featured Sam Waterston as Republican-sounding President of the United States responsible for triggering a nuclear apocalypse and then mentally escaping into delusion and denial. This President is presented as something of patriotic simpleton who espouses conservative values yet, deep down, is corrupt incompetent, evil and incapable of admitting mistakes.
Lest anyone miss the obvious attempt to parallel this President with Bush, we have the creepily skeletal Judy Davis shriek “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” at him to underline how his attempts to preserve and protect the Republic have led to ruin.
The acting’s not bad, but what is it with liberals that they cannot help themselves from turning everything into a simple-minded, one-dimensional soap box, with themselves as the obvious, flawless, righteous heroes?
I remember reading an article about this show online a few months back, although the source now escapes me. The article raved about this particular episode and how important and brilliant it was. I should have guessed that was an indicator of Moonbattiness.
No online stream at ABC.com, unfortunately, but if you missed it, count your blessings.
