Can America Trust A Man Who Hates Ferrets?
The left thinks this is some big deal. Little surprise there; they think everything is a very big deal.
Anyway, Rudy Giuliani used to host an ask the mayor radio show in NYC, which was, I think, pretty cool. How many pols open themselves up to criticism and questions from the public a couple of times a week?
So this guy big into "ferret rights" called one week, demanding to know why NYC forbade ferrets as pets while NY State did not. Rudy told him to get a life.
He called up the following week to continue his pro-ferret crusade, and Guiliani told him he was "sick" to be "so concerned about weasels" and needed to seek professional psychiatric help.
Personally, I think it's funny, and it is pretty indicative of Giuliani's style and temperament. On one hand, it's low on bullshit. On the other hand, it's low on tact.
From Hot Air, also featuring Joan Rivers' recent meltdown with a snotty British interviewer who suggested she was a racist and William F. Buckley, Jr.'s immortal exchange of insults with Gore Vidal on live ABCNews television.
