It's yet another verse in the left's eternal song -- there are no external enemies. Only internal enemies -- fellow countrymen -- who must be treated nearly as enemies of the state.

Were this sort of thinking applied to any group the left approves of, they'd be denigrating the demonization of fellow Americans as a craven, McCarthy-esque attempt to drum up fear and loathing of "The Other."

But Republicans really are The Other, the bogeymen you really ought to be frightened of.

So it's really no difficult trick to claim the Muslim Brotherhood poses no threat while Mitt Romeny does.
