Outrage! Over A Carnal Encounter With A Magical Negro

Actually, World Net Daily seems uncharacteristically in non-outrage mode here, matter-of-factly describing last night's Sarah Silverman Program and the small amount of controversy it caused.

As I mentioned yesterday, she hooks up with God. Who is of course black. When she first meets the "All Mighty," he in an all-white suit and radiating pearlescent light, she asks, "Are you God's black friend?"

It's of course sacriligious -- especially because God wants to see her again, acting a bit needier and clingier than one would expect of the Deity, and she blows him off -- but it's so absurdist it's hard (for me, at least) to take seriously.

Not the best of the series. It was actually the pilot, shown last rather than first, and it shows. It did however have Sarah Silverman's precious excuse for why she couldn't help a friend move out of her apartment: "I stubbed my vagina."

Not really sure why I'm posting this, to be honest. The series is over, but I imagine they'll re-run it constantly. It is Comedy Central after all. This particular show is rebroadcast tonight at 10:30 ET, but again, not really the best show in the (short) series.
