Glad I stayed away from this one. I was "open-minded" enough to suspect it was pure ass.

Honestly, they really ought to be locked up. For three or five years. If you engaged in malicious major valdalism -- say, torching dozens of cars at a car dealership -- you'd spend some decent time in jail.

The economic harm here is worse. How many man-hours, exactly, have been wasted resonding to this false threat? How many millions of dollars down the drain?

How many genuine threats were ignored or lowered in priority to track down this one?
