Yes, I'm a Reality TV Whore

Not sure if The Wardrobe Door is, but he did go to school with Kelly from the Amazing Race (the beauty queen who made an unfair comment about her boyfriend getting out of his military obligations by getting captured by the enemy).

He told me my impressions of her were unfair. He's got a highlights from his interview with her here, and the full interview here.

On the POW remark:

And as to the POW comment, we have been asked about that so much. It really just came out wrong. Honestly, Ron and I neither one remembered the comment until we saw it on TV. Some have even misinterpreted the comment as a disrespect for the military. That is the furthest thing from the truth. I have the ultimate respect for the military, for veterans and especially for POWs. I have lots of family in the Army and the Air Force. My brother is graduating from West Point. Ron knows that I respect him for what he did. That was just one bit of the conversation. I was actually trying to lighten the moment. His mom actually jokes with him about getting out of the military as well. It was also funny to see the titles they picked for us. Everyone else was dating couple, engaged couple, married couple. We were Former POW/Beauty Queen.
