Mr. Paul Anka... Dragged Into Hillary! Fund-Raiser Scandal

Hillary! is apparently safe:

The New York Times coverage from today is a bit more sympathetic, but it appears that the worst consequences for Hillary are likely to be avoided – the prosecutor, Peter R. Zeidenberg, said “that the fund-raiser, David F. Rosen, tried to keep Mrs. Clinton’s campaign from discovering how much money was donated to cover the costs of the star-studded event at the heart of this criminal case.� The prosecutor told the jury, “You will hear no evidence that Hillary Clinton was involved in any way, shape or form.�

But... our hero is tainted by the scandal:

Finally, the details of the fundraiser that Rosen organized — $5,000 for Patti LaBelle's hairdresser, $10,000 for Paul Anka CD's that were to go in gift bags, Cher’s request of a particular model private plane — reveal the ostentatious and lavish atmosphere of Democratic campaign fundraising in Hollywood. It’s not a scandal in and of itself – well, it’s nothing new, at least – but it’s not the side of the Democratic Party that Hillary or any other lawmaker in the party wants to spotlight.

At least Hillary! knows who slices like an f'n' hammer.
