The Muskily Heterosexual James Talarico: Despite My Transparently Disingenuous Claims to Have Moderated on the Trans Issue, I Have Not Changed My Position At All

There's always the question with shifty, dishonest left-wing politicians. You know they're lying, but who are they lying to?

When they claim to be moderate, are they lying to the moderates?

Or are they lying to the leftist base?

Lately some left-wing influencers have complained of Talarico seemingly walking back his earlier gonzo support of All Things Tranny --- "God is nonbinary," "there are six genders," "I love trans children," I have a favorite drag queen and I want to tell you all about "her."

David Strom notes that Talarico recently attempted to give himself wiggle room on trannies playing in girls sports, saying he would oppose that IF it presented a safety issue.

But here's the thing: He won't say if it poses a safety issue and the trans lobby has spent ten years insisting there is absolutely no safety issue at all, because trans girls are girls and if some actual girls wind up with permanent brain damage and hearing loss, oh well, no one lives forever.

Nevertheless, trans activists were alarmed by this and demanded to know: Does he still believe that Trans Woman Are Women, for all purposes, no exceptions?

Talarico clarifies: When I say I'm moderating, I'm lying to the moderates. My positions on trans issues haven't changed a bit and I am all in on trans children.

This confirms what his lesbian "pastor" said: He's just lying to the moderates to get elected.

I put "pastor" in quotes because Talarico's "pastor" of course does not believe that a real Jesus even existed.

Texas Senate hopeful James Talarico's pastor was recently recorded saying some shocking things about Christian doctrines, expressing skepticism about the virgin birth of Jesus and even questioning his very existence.

"We have no way of knowing if Jesus really existed," the Rev. Babs Miller of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church was caught saying on camera.

Miller voiced some of the same types of "progressive Christian" beliefs that Talarico has been criticized for by believers in orthodox Christianity.

She was recorded on video while suggesting a pick-and-choose approach to belief. When asked, "Do we really believe that a virgin gave birth to a baby?" she replied, "No."

"Part of what we encourage here is for people to think for themselves, and take what makes sense. It's kind of like what they say in a 12-step program: take what you want and leave the rest. And I know that would greatly offend some of your relatives who want to hold onto these archaic rules ... Mary and the virgin birth comes out of the pagan belief," Miller said.

"We have no way of knowing if Jesus really existed, any more than we have of knowing that the original Buddha ever existed. And whether or not Jesus existed doesn't really matter to me. The fact remains that that message that was delivered by someone named Jesus supposedly and it could have all been made up for all I know," she continued.

If you're a Christian, of course this is a heresy, because it absolutely foundational to Christianity to believe that Christ existed and died to redeem the world. That is the absolute rock-bottom, bare minimum belief. If you don't believe that, you're certainly not a "Christian," and could not possibly be a genuine Christian pastor.

It's also a bizarre claim, historically: While people may doubt the divine nature of Christ, it seems impossible that this colossal historical figure could have just been made up entirely given the huge number of writings about him and the fact that within 200-300 years, his teachings had become the dominant religion throughout much of the western and near-eastern world.

And of course if she doesn't believe Christ actually existed, she of course does not believe Christ actually died to redeem man's sins.

"Jesus was political. Jesus was put on that cross, not to save us; Jesus was put on that cross because Rome hated Him and they thought He was a threat to their domination of that area. And so they killed Him. He didn't die to save our sins," she told an undercover journalist posing as a prospective new member.

"That makes a whole lot more sense to me than to say that some God would kill his Son for us. That doesn't make sense. How does that make up for all the things I can do? No, it doesn't," she added.

Little wonder, then, that Talarico shimself identifies not as a Christian but as a "Christian who hates Christianity."

That's a quote. It's on tape.

"I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity, right?" the Austin Democrat said in exclusively unearthed audio.

Naturally, left-wing pagan outlet Politico is outraged that someone would question the religious bona-fides of a Marxist running as a fake Christian to con the rubes.

Mark it, folks -- this is the first time Politico has ever been outraged about someone questioning a Christian's (or "Christian's") religious beliefs.

And likely the last time, too.

A slate of Democrats are running for Congress leaning on their Christian bona fides. Republicans are trying to portray them as wolves in sheep's clothing.

In Texas, Republicans are running ads blasting seminarian James Talarico for saying he's "a Christian who hates Christianity." In Iowa, they are going after a pair of clergy in key House races as "PINOS" -- "pastors in name only," because they "don't profess the true gospel of Jesus Christ." In Kansas, Republicans pan megachurch pastor Adam Hamilton as "too woke and too weak."

"His sermons are essentially a carbon copy of the Democrat National Committee platform," said Brent Robertson, chief of staff to Hamilton's opponent, Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.), pointing to a past sermon in which Hamilton urged followers to reduce their carbon footprint.

The closing arguments on these Democrats -- as evidenced by the most recent ads -- shows a concerted effort to turn their preaching against them to paint them as fake, corrupt or even blasphemous.

In Texas, MAGA Inc. is on air painting Talarico as a "liberal weirdo," clipping Talarico's controversial statements, like "Jesus Christ Himself was a radical feminist" and "God is non-binary."

The Trump-aligned No Going Back PAC is on air in Iowa's 2nd District hitting Presbyterian minister and Democrat Lindsay James as inauthentic: "When the cameras are on, Lindsay James goes into a character, a caring pastor who says what you want to hear, but when there's no spotlight, Lindsay James shows just how radical she can be."

And in Kansas, GOP Sen. Roger Marshall's campaign is on air slamming Hamilton as a "slimy," "millionaire megachurch CEO," saying he "used faith to fatten his wallet" and "asked churchgoers to pony up for God, then use church resources for his own campaign."

"The swamp's got enough money changers," the ad says.

The attacks are coming precisely because these candidates have proven to be formidable candidates in purple to red areas, using their faith backgrounds to bolster themselves against GOP accusations that they're out of their state's mainstream.

How dare a political party rebut the religious claims of candidates of another political party!

That's not fair! (Unless you're attacking actual Christians for "regressive believes," naturally.)
