Totally Normal Heterosexual Christian James Talarico Wants You to Know He Has a Favorite Drag Queen and He'd Like to Know Your Favorite Too

Not only does he have a favorite drag queen at the ready when asked, but "she" is quite the beaut.

Talarico's favorite drag queen specifically targets children.

Of course "she" does.

Alyssa Edwards is the stage name of Justin Dwayne Lee Johnson, a performer who has described himself as "a drag performer that works with children," and who has spent years advocating for youth drag shows. Johnson has openly discussed sharing the stage with the young dancers he trains himself. "I remember being at World Pride in New York a few years back and sharing the stage with my dance students, one of the most powerful moments of my life," he told Out magazine.

In fact, the 2018 Netflix docuseries Dancing Queen featured Johnson's work with those young dancers. The Dallas Observer reported that Johnson called one 10-year-old male student his "mini-me," and that the child dressed as Johnson's drag alter ego during an episode of the show.

Remember when Talarico professed his love for "trans children?" Do you think it's just a coincidence that his favorite drag queen is one known for working with minors?

Nor is this the first time Talarico's affinity for kids in drag has surfaced.

Last month, we reported that Talarico headlined a 2021 Pride Month festival in Taylor, Texas, that featured an 11-year-old boy performing as a drag queen. The event also featured pro-LGBTQ speakers, live music, a children's "drag story hour," and adult drag performers. Talarico was there, too, mingling with the crowd as if nothing depraved and predatory was going on.

Photos from the event show Talarico chatting and posing for pictures while the boy performed a routine organizers billed as part of a "Youth Drag Show." One attendee even posted video of the child doing the splits on stage, being sexualized for the crowd.

Talarico is doing the Yasser Arafat messaging strategy of telling two completely different stories to two different audiences. For the left, he loves drag and has a favorite drag performer who targets children. But when it's time to pitch himself to moderates, he claims his prior statements were "cringey" and "missed the mark."

Of course he's lying about disavowing his past statements.

His own lesbian pastor says so. (And of course he has a lesbian pastor.)

She reassured voters who are worried about Talarico's "moderate" messaging, telling them not to worry, Talarico is just pretending to be "moderate" "for the next 50 days," and the moment he wins, the real Talarico will be back and ready to rock out with his cock out.

An undercover journalist for the Daily Wire caught Rev. Babs Miller, a "minister" at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Austin, Talarico's longtime "church," on hidden camera discussing exactly what we've suspected all along.

Talarico has drawn Republican criticism for his professed love for "trans children," claiming that there are seven genders, and that "God is non-binary."

Miller knows who Talarico is, and isn't buying his attempt to rebrand himself.

"He's getting some advice that I don't think he should be following." She predicted he'd drop the act the moment he's safely in office, telling the undercover journalist, "I can guarantee you that once he gets elected, he'll change his tune back to where he was."

That's the whole scam, according to the guy's own "minister."

When the undercover journalist suggested Talarico simply "has to play this game" to win, Miller agreed, saying, "That's what his campaign has convinced him of." She added that the Democrat Party broadly is softening its posture on transgender issues, saying "his staff is encouraging him to kind of do the same thing, just for the next 50... days."

She continued, "I think it's bad advice personally, but if it helps him win, okay..."

Because it's okay to lie if it means you get elected.
