Arrest in Terrorist Attack on Boise ICE Office: It's an AWFUL

Federal prosecutors are calling an Idaho woman's alleged decision to steal an ambulance and crash it into a Meridian building leasing office space to immigration officials a "brazen, dangerous, unprovoked, premeditated attack," according to newly released court records.

In a 15-page affidavit, investigators outlined the evidence that local and federal law enforcement agencies collected against Sarah George, 43, of Boise, before arresting her Monday. Over the course of five days, officers located surveillance footage, financial records and social media posts that they say prove George purchased gasoline cans and lighter fluid, filled them with fuel and stole a Canyon County ambulance before crashing it into the Portico North building with the intention of setting it on fire. he building, owned by St. Luke's Health System, included office space that was being leased to the Department of Homeland Security, which includes Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Posts on George's Facebook page had "adverse political positions" against the agencies, the affidavit alleged.

Oh really, this ugly AWFUL has a FaceBook page where she shares her deranged mentally-ill political opinions? I never would have guessed.

Assistant United States Attorney David Robins, in the District of Idaho, said the attack wasn't random. He wrote in a motion arguing that George should be held "in custody" that based on the woman's social media posts, the attack was over her "perceived grievances" of law enforcement.

"The defendant's devil-may-care attitude towards the extreme public risk can hardly be overstated," Robins wrote in his motion. "She stole an ambulance -- a tool by which first responders save lives -- and damaged it while trying to destroy it. By attempting to burn the building, she showed no regard for the potential occupants (e.g., night workers, janitors, first responders) and the mortal risks she inflicted.

She then approached the parked ambulance and drove off wearing a dark beanie and face covering, according to the affidavit.

That photo is, I believe, from a cop's bodycam camera as he pulled her over for a traffic stop. He realized "Holy shit, this looks like Ace's 'not my bad side' ball! Must be the terrorist!"

He recognized her from a store's surveillance camera video, showing her buying the gas cans used in the attack.

According to the affidavit, investigators found a social media post allegedly made by George the morning of Feb. 18 depicting an AI-generated image of the White House on fire with the caption, "If it can be destroyed by truth then it should be destroyed; it was built in lies anyways."

I'm sure it's because he was following the law too closely and also not taking too many bribes or not grooming too many children.

John Sexton writes that the left -- including the NYT, of course -- has immediately jumped to claiming this man was raided because he... spoke out against ICE.

Um, that doesn't happen, except in your insane AWFUL mentally-ill minds.

Sexton presents an alternative explanation which actually makes sense: He continues openly discriminating against white students despite the Supreme Court ruling that all such discrimination must end.

Alternatively, LAist notes that there is a lawsuit filed against the school district which claims the district discriminates against white students.

A lawsuit filed against the Los Angeles Unified School District for allegedly discriminating against white students could move forward, given the current political climate. But critics say it is troubling and lacks merit.

The suit by the 1776 Project Foundation takes aim at the district's Predominantly Hispanic, Black, Asian, or other Non-Anglo, or PHBAO, program and claims that "for students who attend non-PHBAO schools, the District provides inferior treatment and calculated disadvantages." Roughly 70% of LAUSD schools are part of the PHABO program...

The suit, filed this week in federal court, also calls out the program for allegedly maintaining a more robust staff and receiving extra points on applications to prestigious magnet schools.

"Students attending non-PHBAO schools are denied and directly blocked from these benefits because of the racial composition of their school attendance zone, which detrimentally impacts the quality of the educational experience and directly damages these students," the lawsuit alleges.

As of last week, the Trump DOJ is looking to join that lawsuit.

Could the FBI raid have something to do with that? Again, we don't know but the timing seems more reasonable than the issue involving DHS visits to schools a year ago.

He presents a third possibility: The school is using funds appropriated (by ballot initiative) for expanding school programs to instead pay staff. That would be misuse of public funds, but that seems to me a matter of state concern, not the business of the feds.
