Stephen Colbert and Fake Christian James Talarico are engaged in a joint psyop to convince Democrats that Talarico's the candidate who can actually defeat beat the Republican candidate. (I erroneously said he was running against Ted Cruz yesterday; the candidate will be Cornyn or Ken Paxton or Wesley Hunt.)

The Democrat partisan Colbert has decided that Jasmine Ratchet is a sure loser who will drag the entire Democrat Party down -- no lies detected there -- so he's vigorously promoting Talarico and pushing a conspiracy theory that CBS and the FCC are trying to keep him off the air because he's such a threat to The Man.

A neat little trick here from Talarico and Colbert

Federal law since 1932 has required broadcast media to give equal time to competing political candidates, but Colbert wanted to platform only Talarico and not his other opponents.

So, he interviews Talarico but releases the video only online. Everyone who sees it thinks it aired on the show, Colbert doesn't have to give equal time, and since he has virtually no TV viewers anyway, he still reaches his maximum audience.

Meanwhile, Talarico falsely claims that he's being censored and gets free publicity two weeks out from his primary election by claiming that almost a century of federal law is somehow President Trump's fault.

An ingenious way of getting around the law indeed...

Because Colbert is attacking the network, CBS was forced to defend itself from Colbert's self-serving, partisan-motivated lies:

The show was provided legal guidance that the broadcast could trigger the FCC equal-time rule for two other candidates, including Rep. Jasmine Crockett, and presented options for how the equal time for other candidates could be fulfilled. THE LATE SHOW decided to present the interview through its YouTube channel with on-air promotion on the broadcast rather than potentially providing the equal-time options."

🚨 BREAKING: CBS just called out their OWN HOST, Stephen Colbert, and Dem. Senate candidate James Talarico for LYING by claiming Trump's FCC BLOCKED their interview from airing on TV

In a statement, CBS said Colbert "was NOT prohibited from broadcasting the interview with Rep. James Talarico. The show was provided legal guidance that the broadcast could trigger the FCC equal-time rule for two other candidates, including Rep. So Colbert didn't want to have Jasmine Crockett on, so he made up an excuse saying the FCC barred his interview.

You know who confirms this version of events? Jasmine Ratchet herself, who was told by CBS they had instructed Colbert he should have her on in the interests of equal time, but Colbert never called her to arrange it:

Colbert's show was cancelled due to losing the network $100 million per year, but was allowed to continue through May so as not to incur the wrath of the left.

With just months left before the curtain closes for good, the ratings trajectory suggests viewers have been checking out long before CBS formally pulled the plug.
