Shock: Democrats don't want to be seen around Biden, the man who garnered the most votes in American history, restored America's prestige, and presided over the "Biden Miracle Economy."

Former President Joe Biden will be feted by South Carolina Democrats later this month, to mark the sixth anniversary of his Palmetto State primary landslide, a comeback victory that rocketed Biden to the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination and later the White House.

But with many Democrats still smarting from their party's major 2024 election setbacks, fueled in part by a very unpopular Biden presidency and the then-president's dropping his re-election bid amid serious questions about his physical and mental abilities following a disastrous debate with now-President Donald Trump, the South Carolina celebration appears to be an outlier.

As they seek office in gubernatorial and congressional races in this year's elections, nine candidates who served in the Biden administration appear to be keeping their distance from the former president, according to a new report from Axios.

Biden ended his presidency with approval and favorable ratings well underwater, and the 13 months since he left office have not apparently healed the damage done to his standing among those in his own party.

"Biden remains a liability," a veteran Democratic strategist who asked to remain anonymous to speak more freely, told Fox News Digital. "Being associated with the Biden administration is doing some candidates no favors as they run this year."

That's a switch from the 2018 elections, the previous midterm cycle when Trump was in office and the Democrats were out of power, when former President Barack Obama as well as then-former Vice President Biden were in demand on the campaign trail.

Among those not highlighting Biden this cycle is Deb Haaland, a former House member from New Mexico who served as Department of the Interior secretary in the Biden administration and is now running for governor in the blue-leaning state. The former president isn't mentioned on Haaland's campaign website.

Another example is Xavier Becerra, who served as secretary of Health and Human Services under Biden and is now running for California governor. The former president isn't mentioned in Becerra's campaign launch video.

Remember how Democrats conned this senile old fuck to abandon the race? They specifically promised him he would be hailed as a hero and praised from now until the end of all days.

Liars.

Even more shocking: Biden granted stealth "quiet amnesty," without congressional authorization, to nearly a million illegal aliens.

Officially, there are almost 3.8 million pending cases in the immigration court backlog, but more than eight years ago, at the outset of the first Trump administration, I suggested the true number of then-pending cases (a more modest 895,000) was higher than those official statistics displayed, thanks to a legal trick called "administrative closure".

As the BIA has described the practice: "Administrative closure ... is used to temporarily remove a case from an Immigration Judge's active calendar or from the Board's docket."

It continued:

[Administrative closure] is a docket management tool that is used to temporarily pause removal proceedings. Administrative closure is not a form of relief from removal and does not provide an alien with any immigration status. After a case has been administratively closed, either party may move to recalendar it before the Immigration Court ... or to reinstate the appeal before the Board. [Emphasis added.]

Put another way, administrative closure allows immigration judges and the BIA to shelve cases that it does not want to, or cannot, deal with, at least at the time of closure.

Another shock: Lisa Murkowski says she won't support the GOP-favored SAVE Act because she doesn't want to "federalize federal elections." (What?)

Smoking hot Congressbade Ana Paulina Luna points out she did want to federalize federal elections just a couple of years ago when Democrats wanted to "restore voter rights" by re-imposing onerous federal "pre-clearance" of laws whenever southern states, and only southern states, wished to change a voting law.

In other words, southern states, and only southern states, would again have to ask "mother may I?" from Congress to change the most trivial of state election laws.

"I want us to continue to reduce those barriers to Americans ability to vote," she said in a speech on the Senate floor Wednesday, before the procedural vote, "whether it is geographic, whether it's logistical -- we certainly know about that in Alaska -- whether it's partisan, or some other form."

Free and fair elections are a cornerstone of democracy and American identity, Murkowski said.

The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act would reinstate parts of the Civil Rights Era-law that the U.S. Supreme Court overturned in 2013. The centerpiece of the bill would restore the "preclearance" requirement. Until the Supreme Court struck it down, it required states with a history of discrimination to get the Justice Department to sign off before they change their voting rules.

If you missed it: Rubio got a standing O from European Sitzpinklers after telling them to take the dicks out of their mouths and protect their civilization.

Indeed. The word vaquero, meaning cowboy (vaca meaning "cow") is a word first used in Spain and Portugal.

The vaquero (Spanish: [baˈkeɾo]; Portuguese: vaqueiro, European Portuguese: [vɐˈkɐjɾu]) is a horse-mounted livestock herder of a tradition that has its roots in the Iberian Peninsula and extensively developed in what is today Mexico (then New Spain) from a method brought to the Americas from Spain. The vaquero became the foundation for the North American cowboy, in Northern Mexico, Southwestern United States, Florida and Western Canada.

The cowboys of the Great Basin still use the term "buckaroo", which may be a corruption of vaquero, to describe themselves and their tradition.

Vaquero is literally pronouced backero. How is this a "may be" situation?
