Minnesota AG and Islamist Keith Ellison Is Distancing Himself from a Fake "Charity" That Stole $250 Million in Covid Funds, Supposedly for Feeding Poor Children

His grubby fingerprints are all over this, says David Strom.

The scandal, about which I have written a bit, can be condensed into a few sentences: DFL politicos hooked up with Somali immigrants tied to Ilhan Omar to rip off the state and federal government by charging hundreds of millions for meals they never provided to children during COVID.

Hundreds of millions, and that is only one of the scams that Somalis have run with the cooperation of the Democrat-controlled government. There has been a similar fraud related to child care subsidies and home care services that never happened. All told, somewhere between $500 million and a billion dollars has been conned out of Minnesota taxpayers, and the local Democratic Party is deeply connected to it all.

In the case of this particular scandal, the lead conspirator was a former top official in Amy Klobuchar's office, not that you would ever know it from the news coverage. Aimee Bock was the ringleader, but most of the minions were Somali refugees with deep political ties to Ilhan Omar, Mayor of Minneapolis Jacob Frey, and our very own Attorney General and former Democratic Party Vice Chair Keith Ellison.

Ellison is claiming he had nothing to do with the scam charity that stole a quarter of a billion dollars out of the mouths of poor children, but he's on tape pledging his support to the fraudsters.

Keith Ellison, Minnesota's attorney general, can clearly be heard pledging his support to individuals who would soon become his family's campaign donors and later Feeding Our Future criminal defendants.

His recorded statements flatly contradict his contemporaneous public statements and raise uncomfortable questions about the intersection between political fundraising and constituent services.

American Experiment has exclusively obtained the complete 54-minute, 44-second audio file of a private December 2021 meeting between state Attorney General (AG) Keith Ellison and key figures in the Feeding Our Future scandal.

As a document, it exceeds expectations. Voices can be heard clearly and are clearly identifiable. The highlights, which are many, tend to be front-loaded. I've included below some clips from the meeting to highlight a few points.

The meeting proper begins at the 1:28 mark with introductions. The female voice heard beginning at 1:45 belongs to Ikram Mohamed. She is Feeding Our Future Defendant No. 63, overall, in the case and is expected to stand trial in December 2025.

Ikram worked as an employee/consultant for Feeding Our Future for a time and also participated in the free-food program independently. She has pled not guilty in the case.

The first, but hardly the last, accusation of racism is dropped at 4:20. Beginning at 6:00, Omar describes (offers) his organization's fundraising prowess (6:30) on behalf of "elected officials who are willing to protect communities of color." To repeat, Omar has never been accused of any wrongdoing.

At 8:00, Ellison offers his initial thoughts on the meeting's introductory remarks:

Ellison describes his interventions with then-DHS Commissioner Jodi Harpstead starting at 8:15. Harpstead left her post earlier this year...

Ellison states on the recording that "we are in the middle of the battle with the agencies now" at 8:59. At 9:07, Ellison asserts that:

"Walz agrees with me that this piddly, stupid stuff running small people out of business is terrible."

At 9:22, Ellison can be heard drawing a diagram on a whiteboard. At 9:50, Ellison agrees with the proposition that there is state agency discrimination against East African businesses.

At 11:30, Ellison brags that:

"Just being able to say, just getting the question, just getting the inquiry from the AG is sometimes enough to make people knock it off."

Another recording of Keith Ellison meeting with Feeding Our Future Vacation Homes grifters has dropped.

Another leaked audio recording links Minnesota's Attorney General Keith Ellison to the Feeding Our Future (FOF) scandal. This much earlier recording (June 2021) raises more questions about Ellison's public statements on the case and his office's less-than-adequate representation of the state Department of Education (MDE) in an FOF-filed lawsuit.

Last week, American Experiment exclusively published a 55-minute audio recording, dated December 11, 2021, featuring AG Ellison meeting with a half-dozen or so individuals associated with the nonprofit Feeding Our Future (FOF). Feeding was the rogue nonprofit behind a $250 million theft from a taxpayer-funded program meant to feed children from low-income families.

That audio was recorded just 9 days before Ellison received several campaign donations from individuals linked to FOF. One month after that (January 20, 2022), FBI raids shut down the fraud and closed FOF.

To be clear, no one mentioned by name in this post has been accused of any wrongdoing in the Feeding Our Future case.

Well, may be. But the investigation is young.

The man standing on the left is Abshir Omar, the Feeding Our Future consultant. The man seated on the right is state Sen. Omar Fateh (DFL-62, Minneapolis). According to campaign finance records, Abshir Omar donated $1,000 to Sen. Fateh's re-election campaign on November 20, 2021. In addition to Abshir's, Sen. Fateh collected six other donations on that date.

It is alleged that the video above was shot on November 14, 2021. From the short video, it is not clear what subject is being discussed. The word "food" is mentioned by Abshir at the 11-second mark.

Below are the campaign donations accepted by the Ellisons (father and son) and Sen. Fateh from individuals linked to the Feeding Our Future scandal.

We were also sent a 54-second audio recording, allegedly recorded much earlier on June 22, 2021. From the audio, it sounds as if the recording is of a telephone call or a Zoom meeting.

The subject matter appears to be the ongoing state lawsuit between Feeding Our Future and the state Dept. of Education ("MDE"). The audio mentions (0:05) a contempt ruling filed against MDE, which occurred in June 2021. MDE was represented in the lawsuit by Ellison's office.

At the 24-second mark, Ellison respond to a question by stating that he had heard of the FOF/MDE case "late this afternoon." This contradicts Ellison's statement on the later December 2021 audio tape that he was unaware of the lawsuit.
