Ace of Spades Pet Thread, March 1

The rooster Hugh Hefner braved some surprising weather in Southern Louisiana recently. How have your pets been dealing with changes in the weather?

Good afternoon and welcome to the almost world famous Ace of Spades Pet Thread. Thanks for stopping by. Kick back and enjoy the world of animals.

Let's relax a little with the animals and leave the world of politics and current events outside today.

Hugh Hefner is a looker, isn't he?

These are Ranger (light brown) and Carmelo (chocolate color)They are Pekingese litter mates. We adopted them a couple months apart. Ranger is definitely the dominant male. Carmelo is happy to leave him to it. It gives Carmelo time to think. He’s constantly investigating things and trying to figure out how they work.

We discovered they love watching dog agility competitions while visiting my parents.

The cat is Grace. She followed me to our cabin in Alabama on Easter Sunday while I was walking Ranger and Carmelo. The vet estimated her at about 6 months old. She needed immediate medical care. $1200 later we had a cat. The dogs and cat get along well. Ranger loves to chase her and she loves to pounce on them at random intervals.

Thanks for introducing us to the personalities of these endearing pets. We might not have guessed from the great photos. It's nice that Ranger and Carmelo have found an activity that they enjoy while visiting their grandparents.

Gracie is a beautiful cat, even if she does have a feisty streak. Thanks for rescuing her.
