And so it begins:

Newly sworn-in Attorney General Pam Bondi held her first U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) press briefing Wednesday where she announced federal charges filed against the state of New York, specifically Gov. Kathy Hochul, the state's AG Letitia James, and Commissioner Mark Schroeder of the state's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

"New York has chosen to prioritize illegal aliens over American citizens. It stops today," Bondi said.

Bondi's department has already sued the city of Chicago, the state of Illinois, and Cook County over their so-called "sanctuary" laws that shield illegal aliens from federal immigration enforcement.

"New York didn't listen, so now you're next," Bondi said.

"This is a new DOJ," declared Bondi, "and we are taking steps to protect Americans."

Some earlier reports said that Alvin Bragg was being charged. He isn't.

Not yet.

Update: It's also not "charges." It's a civil suit. I think it's to compel action. If she succeeds, and they continue to resist, I think then she could seek charges for violating a court order.

Everyone knew Ukraine was losing and NATO's "victory goals" were impossible. Since only Trump admitted it, they'll blame him for losing their failed war.

There's talk that Adams may change his party registration to Republican. He is polling badly in the Democrat Primary-- but could probably win the GOP primary, if he changed a few positions and actually promised to govern as the tough-on-crime mayor he claimed he'd be.
