Pete Hegseth Hearings: Democrats, Terrorists, and Trannies (But I Repeat Myself) Turn It Into a Clownshow

First up: the Democrats are mad because the FBI background check turned up nothing at all. The report is called "unremarkable," in the sense that there's nothing there for Democrats to Seize and Pounce Upon.

Sean Spicer said on the 2-Way podcast that Democrats need to be careful about beating up on an actual combat veteran hero, given that so few of them have served. I imagine that Tammy Duckworth is charged with offering the nastiest questions, as she is a combat veteran. I'm curious to see how "Danang Dick" Blumenthal -- who lied about serving in Vietnam -- will comport himself. Will he pretend he's a combat vet who has the moral authority to run Hegseth down? And if he does, will Hegseth play the Danang Dick card in return?

Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa quizzed Pete Hegseth at his Senate confirmation hearing on his stance on women in the military, allowing him to clarify where he stands on the matter after a slew of questions from Democrats.

"Let's make it very clear for everyone here today as Secretary of Defense, will you support women continuing to have the opportunity to serve in combat roles?" Ernst asked President-elect Trump's nominee to lead the Pentagon.

"Yes, women will have access to ground combat roles, combat roles given the standards remain high, and we'll have a review to ensure the standards have not been eroded," Hegseth said.

Great. The Credibly Accused Adulteress Joni Ernst is making her devotion to fringe leftist causes paramount.

The left organized its usual Chain Disruptions, where "protesters" stand up and scream every couple of minutes. One by one they're cleared from the room, but not before disrupting and delaying the hearings.

Idiot Senator Hirono sounded drunk as she repeatedly badgered Hegseth about his fake/blackmail rape charges, and accused him of being drunk. She insisted on him promising he wouldn't "drink on the job," which is a promise I'd like her to make.

Gillibrand badgers Hegseth about the only thing that matters to Democrats about the military: Gays and women and trannies "serving" in combat roles.

Update: Tim Kaine, who defended Clinton's adulteries (and rapes) and who support Kamala Harris despite having an adulterous affair with her boss, the married Willie Brown, is now very anti-adultery.
