Polls, Schmolls: Trump Up by 3 Nationally; Biden Continues Loosing the Yute Vote
A poll from left-tilting Emerson puts Trump up over Biden 46-43 nationally, and 51-48 with leaners included.
Trump consistently outperforms his polls. And he's almost never been shown to be ahead of his opponent in any poll from 2016 or 2020, despite winning handily in 2016 and nearly winning (it's complicated, fortification was involved) in 2020.
Now he's always ahead of Biden.
Biden keeps losing ground with absolute must-have constitutencies.
A recent Harvard IOP poll indicates a significant narrowing of President Biden's lead among young voters, with only an 8-point lead over Trump, down from 23 points in 2020, amidst controversial policies aimed at courting this demographic.
Biden's lead over Trump among 18-29-year-olds has plummeted from 23 points in spring 2020 to just 8 points in spring 2024.
In an apparent bid to regain favor, Biden proposes canceling student loan debt in contrast to his unpopular stance on banning TikTok, a platform beloved by the youth.
These moves suggest a strategy to buy youth support as the November election approaches, raising questions about the sincerity and effectiveness of such policies.
I mentioned this poll yesterday -- most Americans say that Trump isn't guilty of anything, and the Soros DA prosecution is a political hit-job.
A recent AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll reveals that the majority of Americans do not believe former President Donald Trump broke the law his hush money case. The poll also indicates a general skepticism about the fairness of the prosecutors, judge, and jurors involved in the case.
Key Details:
Only about one-third of U.S. adults believe Trump committed an illegal act in the hush money case. 35% think Trump acted illegally, 31% see his actions as unethical but not illegal, and 14% believe he did nothing wrong.
Only 31% are confident that Trump is being treated fairly by the prosecution, and about 20% trust the fairness of jurors and judges.
Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt described the trial as "political persecution" and claimed it is part of a strategy to undermine Trump politically.
