The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released new data addressing the link, or lack thereof, between the COVID-19 vaccine and sudden cardiac death in otherwise healthy young adults.

The assessment, conducted between June 2021 and December 2022, investigated the death certificates and vaccination records of 1,292 Oregon decedents aged between 16 and 30 who had died of "cardiac or undetermined" causes.

"The data do not support an association of COVID-19 vaccination with sudden cardiac death among previously healthy young persons," determined the CDC. The vaccine is still recommended for everyone aged over 6 months.

A Cornell University student behind a series of brutal online threats last fall to shoot Jewish students and slit their throats has pleaded guilty, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.

Patrick Dai, 21, formerly a junior at Cornell, will be sentenced Aug. 12 and faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000, the department stated in a April 10 news release.

His attorney said Dai was recently diagnosed with autism.

"He did it knowingly, but his motivation was really not meant to scare Jewish people," attorney Lisa Peebles told the New York Post. "It was more try to to do the opposite of that which was to garner sympathy for them and make people think twice about supporting Hamas."

Peebles told the Post that Dai was spurred by comments by a Cornell professor who said he found the Oct. 7 Hamas attack killing 1,200 Israeli citizens "exhilarating."

That professor, of course, is not being arrested. He's taking a leave of absence, which means he's being paid to go on a long vacation.

The Cornell professor who called the Hamas terror attack on Israel "exhilarating" and "energizing" is now on a leave of absence until at least the end of the semester.

Russell Rickford, an associate professor of history, went viral for the incendiary remarks to students during a pro-Palestinian protest soon after the Oct. 7 surprise attack on Israel killed 1,400 people, mostly civilians.

"It was exhilarating. It was exhilarating, it was energizing," he was seen telling the crowd, claiming "you would not be human" not to feel the same.

"I was exhilarated!" he said to a smattering of applause.
